what is the last good movie you watched?

we saw the lego movie last weekend, and it was pretty good

i'm not much of a fan of kid animation movies but this one had some pretty good jokes, and we could sort of relate to it
my husband being the crazy lego collector, and me being the evil businessman because i want the sets kept in order......no mixing allowed lol

i give it a 7/10

dem00n 02-13-2014 09:55 AM

Saw a good porno with Brandi Love.

The whole mom and daughter thing can be a bit weird though...

DJCarbine 02-13-2014 10:06 AM

The Sandlot, followed by Breakfast Club.

BlueDubbinTDI 02-13-2014 10:09 AM

Ender's Game. It was meh. 6.5/10. Decent until the last 20 mins.

Born 2 Race

For some reason I really like this movie and saw it for the 4th time 2 days ago...

7thgear 02-13-2014 10:19 AM

the secret life of walter mitty

easily knocked it's way to my top 10 list, such a feel good movie that makes you remember that there are many good things in life and that we can all leave the hate and malice at home.

White64Goat 02-13-2014 11:10 AM

Skyfall

Shagaliscious 02-13-2014 11:40 AM

Men in Black 3. I thought it was just as good as the first Men in Black.

sklimo 02-13-2014 11:46 AM

IP MAN

FnFast 02-13-2014 11:57 AM

I thought they were coming out with another IP Man. One where he is training Bruce Lee.

Last movie I enjoyed was Rush and Wolf of Wallstreet. Hookers, money and drugs.

USMC 02-13-2014 12:04 PM

Lone Survivor, wife didn't like it. She should know better, she married a USMC grunt.

Pacific Rim is pretty unreal on blue ray and kush.

zenki_levin 02-13-2014 02:37 PM

Saw Fight Club a few days ago. I've seen it a couple of times and it never gets boring.

Watched 'Totall Recall' yesterday, the original version. What can i say, arnold is bad ass.

Man I watch a ton of movies, but the last GOOD one?

Probably "The Spectacular Now". Coming of age type affair, good to watch with your ladyfriend.

"Dallas Buyer's Club" was also good, but sort of depressing.

"Escape Plan" was a fun Stallone/Arnold movie. Went in with low expectations and it entertained me, which was all I was looking for.

Got some time this weekend (long weekend in Canada!) so I'm going to check out Robocop and try to watch Rush and Ridd-ick (wtf censors?).

M-17 02-13-2014 03:00 PM

Last car related good movie I saw was Rush. Last general good movie I saw was Underworld.

I'd like to note that Kate Beckinsale should be illegal for looking so damn fine while fighting vampires and werewolves.

Diode Dynamics 02-13-2014 03:02 PM

Last good recent movie I've seen was Lone Survivor. Overall, I was extremely impressed and I'm thankful they didn't make that movie too "Hollywood" if you know what I mean.

It did have a few "hollywood" bits in it, but not enough to ruin the movie.

Aside from that I'm looking forward to seeing the new RoboCop, because I love the hilarious originals and I've heard good things about the new one

Rush.

Kinda spoiler:
One thing bothered me about the movie.
It was clear Lauda and Hunt were such bitter rivals, but the movie never really showed it on the track. It all starts with the one race at the beginning where Lauda spun. Then at the end of another season where Lauda and Hunt are duking it out to the finish for Lauda to win. If they were such bitter rivals, what about the rest of that season? What about all the racing that happened since the first event that sparked it all? I even looked at my wife and said "WTF, that's the last race of the season, what about the rest of it? They just skip over it all??!" They could have even just showed some clips of close calls and tire-to-tire racing, just 20 seconds of footage would have summed up the entire year... Oh, then fast forward to the fateful race in '76 where everything changes.

The rest was all about their wives and Hunt puking before every race.

It was obvious that they didn't like each other, but they never really showed the rivalry in action until near the end. That's the only thing I didn't like about it. Great movie otherwise.

sklimo 02-13-2014 03:24 PM

I may be only one, but I don't think Rush lived up to the hype

Just watched that last night for the first time. Great Bond flick.

JB86'd 02-14-2014 03:59 AM

Wolf of Wall Street. And before that American Hustle. Loved both of them.

ramiram1984 02-14-2014 02:21 PM

Lego Movie.

FnFast 02-14-2014 02:35 PM

Lego Movie does look funny.

Vracer111 02-14-2014 02:42 PM

Rush would be the last good movie I saw... the Blu-Ray release is spectacular. And though not a movie, the documentary 1, which was released on Blu-Ray the same time as Rush, is one of the best racing documentaries I've seen - if you want more breakdown of the Hunt/Lauda battle it has it.

Tits ahoy 3 with the wife.

Mikem53 02-17-2014 09:47 AM

Watched moneyball when I was snowed in last week..
I'm not a baseball fan by any means, but this was a great movie and I totally enjoyed it. Best performance Brad Pitt ever did for sure!

f0rge 02-18-2014 05:31 PM

Checked out the new Robocop on the weekend. Better than I thought, although a bit slow in the middle. Would recommend.

STV3 02-18-2014 05:38 PM

Watched the Avengers again in 3D bluray, never get tired of that movie. Also so RoboCop and I must say I was much better then I was expecting it to be. Not a must see movie but a good choice if you have nothing else to do.

Black86 02-18-2014 05:42 PM

The Wolf of Wallstreet, such a good movie!

Shagaliscious 02-18-2014 05:51 PM

I watched Stand Up Guys last night. Great movie.

DaJo 02-18-2014 06:12 PM

Saw RoboCop 2 nights ago. Could have been better, but not bad for a remake.

brzr 02-18-2014 10:34 PM

Really?
The rubber robocop is good?
I'm sure I'll check it out once it's out on dvd

If you enjoyed the film, Moneyball, you might like to read the book as well.

The book is even more entertaining, and it is fascinating to boot—much better, even, than the movie. The author, Michael Lewis, is a talented writer. He piqued my intellectual curiosity while leaving me roaring with laughter at his insider's tales of the characters in professional baseball. If you start it, I'll bet you finish it. It's a rewarding read.

Well, it's not terrible. Lol, it's one of those movies where it has awesome effects and all but the story still no where near as good as the original.

The original had way more details in the plot for sure.

Fortis 02-24-2014 02:35 AM

Watched the Conjuring last week. Great atmosphere, great script and good acting. Very well done. Love Vera Farmiga!

WolfsFang 02-24-2014 10:35 PM

Last movie I watched was v for vendetta a few days ago and that was a great movie.
