Can't find part number yet but I am going to keep looking.

tlp 05-07-2012 02:46 AM

Personally I don't think they have any place on a car like the 86/BRZ.

Staticfrost 05-07-2012 02:49 AM

ROFL the amount of s15's I have seen with them is intense.

But yes it is all personal preference.

Best first add-on to the car! sometimes you just want some fresh air in while its raining. Please let drop the product number when you find out!

Neilus 05-07-2012 04:23 AM

Not for me, I want wheels, tyres, exhaust first.......

pr0j 05-07-2012 04:53 AM

yep, TRD exhaust for me, and prob not much else.

70NYD 05-07-2012 05:04 AM

If you do get wheels, please get some that are lighter than the stock ones, otherwise you will negatively impact everything.

Pplater 05-23-2012 06:30 AM

Wana get the TRD exhaust and BBK plus a new set of rims, dont know which ones

Nardi330 05-23-2012 06:39 AM

TRD BBK costs over $10k mate.....

Ballsak2nv 05-23-2012 06:53 AM

You guys do realize the TRD exhaust doesn't fit the stock rear bumper, you'll need to hack away some of the black plastic.

Pplater 05-23-2012 06:55 AM

BBK might be worth if they are good, and if not, get the brembo's instead

Why would you want a big brake kit? Bigger brakes = more unsprung weight = bad. Given you probably haven't driven the car what makes you think it needs a bbk? Upgrade the brake fluid and pads first.

If you are just doing it for show ignore this post.

Because he's the Drift King of course and wants to pull some massive skids!

Nice part, I wasn't too keen on it - but since I'm going for a stormtrooper/panda type colour set on the car I think this will suit it well.

I'd like to know the part number too!

subscribed.

ESBjiujitsu 05-23-2012 08:45 AM

dude love those rain guards....i will be getting some for my 86/frs as well! I have been looking for pricing and part numbers. Maybe @Carson Toyota can help us out with these.

Staticfrost 05-23-2012 05:00 PM

I can order this part for 18000Yen + Del

Pplater 05-24-2012 01:04 AM

I wouldn't say its a problem but just pointing out the TRD BBK costs quite a lot - where that wad of cash can be spent of many other mods etc :)

newft86 05-24-2012 01:25 AM

For more info on dealer supplied TRD parts see my post here:

Nafe 05-24-2012 09:28 AM

What do big brakes have to do with being a drift king, Pplater??
There isn't alot of point in fitting the BBK if you aren't going to track the car though, because by all reports the stock brakes are really good. Why spend $10k+ on something that you won't get full use out of?
I had another idea about big brakes anyway. MUCH cheaper

Oh an I LOVE the weathershields. I think they look great. I loved weathershields on AE86's and S13 silvias too

I actually laughed at this, its so true.

I have them on my Supra, the ash just always floats in the right direction, never comes back in the car.

On rainy days its even better, because you can smoke and not have a tsunami flowing through the window + it keeps the wind out.

People generally ask me if I smoke in the car, I tell them yes and there reaction is "wow it doesn't smell like smoke".

I love these rain guards!

02 STI brakes are direct bolt on too. Should be able to find them on YJP. They would be more than enough for a car this weight. The BBK is massive overkill for anything other than long stint track work.

You need the TRD rear lip kit to fit the exhaust. Keep that in mind. HKS probably offer the best bang for buck bolt on exhaust that distant require rear bar changes.

That's only for the JDM one. Not the USDM one.

We get JDM spec in Australia. Not sure how your rear bar is different in the US.

Thanks, actually not too bad, for what they are. Like said above, they usually don't look good on any car, but they sure are nice to have.

Agreed, ATLEAST 25kw.

I'll be painting my GT wheels Gloss black, probably red the stock calipers while im at it.

Then probably get the HKS spec L exhaust, dont think i will bother with an intake straight away

GC GTS Aero Kit 06-27-2012 01:22 AM

Will be getting a Titanium Exhaust and DMS Coilovers my car will be a testbed for a Full titanium system that NA Autosports are having made up for me by jig I will post some pics of the system we got made for the Evo 9 if you guys like. DMS (Drummond Motor Sport) are going to take my standard suspension and make up some coilovers too.

IMO the GT wheels would look better painted a satin/matte black ala AE86 with old RS Watanabes :D I know you like the panda style, so that would rock ;)
I may even paint my stock GT wheels matte black until I get some better ones :D
@m0nty - haha that was my idea for big brakes :P STI size rotors + 2nd hand STI calipers. Should be able to get them mega cheap. Genuine Brembo pads for them may be a bit exxy. Well I know they are if purchased through Subie

DriftEightSix 06-27-2012 04:58 AM

Thanks!!!!
