Lower Control Arms

Hey,

I am looking at getting a set of coilovers within the month and I am thinking at the same time i should get some LCA(rear) whilst I'm at it.

Anyone able to advise a brand, that can be picked up in Australia?

Budget would be around $500ish. (but happy to explore all options)

Import from the US. I'd look at the F7 and SPC as cheap(er) options if it's for function not form. SPC has good reviews. Get them drop shipped or find a vendor who will ship internationally.

Whiteline rear control arms are out of stock for a while.
I have the cusco, gtspec, and spc arms in stock at the moment.
Also, taking preorder on Voodoo13 arms.

I have recently received my set of front LCA's from RacerX the quality is great, havnt installed them yet

I have RacerX rear lca,toe links, sway bar drop links and trailing arms. I had to get a tab welded on locally on the left hand side lca for the headlight adjuster.

Have you installed yours yet. Taken mine to two places and they seem to not able to join the dots.

No I havnt yet I've been slack, got a heap of parts I need to put on but can't afford to have the car off the road as it's my only mode of transport but working on another.

If you can find pics of them complete they should be able to replicate? Or ask the company to send you some pics or a how too but I don't see how a mechanical shop can't work out how they go??

I was thinking that too for my own car. Why would I need them? does it depend on how low? any other reason to buy them? I'm not tracking it btw

My question, what are the negatives of dropping your car with lowering springs and not using lower control arms? How long do you think the stock shocks would last with a spring that drops ~30-35mm? Are bushings a definite necessary mod when lowering the car?

This is what i am going, when more are in stock.
I like the lower mounting points, I am hoping it will get rid of the car lifting a leg going up drive ways etc.
And more travel would be lovely!

does anyone know if the brands above are "legal" to use in AUS?

im assuming none pass ADR's etc?

I'm looking for some at the moment too as im chewing out the insides of my tyres like crazy but not sure if I want to go for the Whitelines that are "raceonly" for the street because of insurance purposes.

My RacerX arms were inspected and received an Engineer's Report stating they met with VSB14 after which the local RTA inspected and rubber stamped the mod. (Tax payable of course.) I'm in the A.C.T. but I'm guessing it would be a similar procedure in Adelaide. NRMA Insurance will cover mods providing they meet VSB14.
