New Racer X Fabrication rear lower control arms!

If you have been following us on our FB or instagram account then you know we have been working on building new rear lower control arms. Well we are pleased to release our new rear lower control arms here are a few pics, and I will get a few install pics in the next week or two.

One of the great features of our control arms have been access to adjustment. Rod ends and jack screws are the same we have been using for our rear lower control arms.

The main reason for the design change was the amount of time it took to weld the previous control arms. It was tying up one of our welders for too much time. It's easier for us to justify, running them on our cnc machines.

The new design did reduce weight, and still maintains strength.

Dustin 02-09-2014 06:20 PM

I'm guessing so the control arm itself would be a solid 1 piece design instead of multiple pieces welded together. Not sure if they will be lighter due to it being aluminum instead of steel because they do look beefier than the previous one. Looks like a solid piece though, that's for sure. @racerx1715 your parts are definitely on my WTB list.

Edit** You beat me to it with your explination, lol. I type too slow, haha.

449.00 plus shipping, with choice of rod ends or urethane bushings.

Zach3794 02-10-2014 03:39 PM

Darn, this makes me wish I had waited for the updated arms. :/ Still love the original racerx arms I've got though! Holding up fabulously! :)

puma 04-05-2014 10:30 PM

bumping an old thread, how much camber can you gain with those without the adjustment being to close to getting out or getting weak?

edit: just realised that i guess it depends on how low you are, let say i want -3 deg and will be lowered to race car height, do i need upper control arms?

puma 04-05-2014 10:37 PM

Other question, seems like the design isn't made to lower the car like Stance or an other one i can't remember, any reason why you chose not to?

You should be able to achieve -3 camber. We have made custom upper control arms that provide up to -15 degrees of camber.

Its a design direction. We chose to keep a similar style to OEM, and make it completely adjustable.

What needs -15 degrees of camber?

mike the snake 04-07-2014 12:28 AM

I see a lot of drift cars with crazy amounts of front camber. Bad for going straight, but when fully locked (or beyond like for drifting) I think the extra camber makes for better drifting.

They do it because they think its cool. Not because its better.

I don't think it was for function. It was for Stance, but it was a request and we built them.

bakerr6 04-08-2014 01:47 PM

I'll take some more pics of mine on the car sometime this weekend. These things are great! Those are definitely beefier than my other ones. I may end up taking a look at these later this year

Jeff@Racer X Fab 04-27-2014 11:21 PM

We have had a few members asking about anodizing for the rear lower control arms that we offer. Here are the rear lower control arms anodized blue and black.

Yes, we can do custom colors. We are considering offering black and clear as standard, and will offer custom anodizing for an additional cost.
