2 Attachment(s)
I just got accessory pricing from my dealer and thought I would share.

I'm sure I've seen at least partial pricing in the for the BRZ, but I couldn't find it.. if someone else finds it, please feel free to link or move this thread.

Good info thanks.

What happened to the subwoofer some people mentioned?

Also hoping a center arm-rest will be available.. If not, probably something that will be added on the '14 MY cars..

Dizz1e 05-04-2012 12:53 PM

What is the rear bumper applique?

Also if we get a limited and don't want the spoiler do we get $425 off the price or credit for other parts?

Center armrest available Winter 12'

so let me ask something.

if you order accessories at the same time you order the car, they will just install the parts straight on correct? (you dont get to keep the original part)

what if you order accessories AFTER the car comes? would the price be the same? and this way you get to keep the old part.

so...

For some reason my dealership has not contacted me about all these options. When I pre ordered back in March 17th I only said the transmission, color, and limited trim. You think they will call me when my car arrives in port and then talk about all these options?

If you get the Limited then the spoiler will be installed at the factory, so no.

It's a clear plastic sticker that goes on the bumper lip so when you're putting suitcases in you don't scratch the bumper.

You can't get the Limited without a spoiler even if you pay extra. I tried.

Not sure what it looks like on the BRZ. Some cars have a hard gray plastic.. but that's usually for more "sport utility" type vehicles.

My wife's Hyundai Sonata came with one.. it's a thick clear sticker with a white SONATA wording across it that goes across the top side of the bumper just next to the trunk opening. It's supposed to protect the paint when you pull something out of the trunk and it slides across the bumper on the way to the ground.

It looks nice and if it prevents a couple scratches over the years, I figure it's worth the money.

Just my opinion at least.

If you add accessories into the deal, you may be able to get them for less than MSRP. I have a friend who works in Subie parts so I hope to get them for not much more than cost, after purchasing.

Yes, and... I believe if you opt for port installed accessories, they do not charge any labor. On the other hand, if you buy the options from the dealer before or after delivery, I think they charge installation time.

I'm not positive about this though.. I'm waiting for a confirmation from my salesman on that very question.

Giccin 05-04-2012 01:34 PM

Holy smokes. Dealers are makin' money off that MSRP!

Yes that should be correct. Port-installed accessories are essentially the same as having them installed at the factory. If you have them added after the fact they may charge labor.

How do you know? I definitely want this.

Lone 05-04-2012 02:45 PM

Hmmh. So is the interior lighting kit no longer an option?

*Note: This is for the FR-S*

I would think they are interchangeable between BRZ and FR-S. If not Subaru should have theirs out around the same time.

Tainen 05-04-2012 03:54 PM

the original thread is stickied at the top of this forum. :) We can combine the two no prob.

3M Clear Bra isn't an option and for the FR-S? :bonk::thumbdown::iono:

It is, they call it "paint protection film". It's not full hood though.

rawbz 05-04-2012 05:23 PM

why does the rear bumper applique INCREASE in price when its part of the package??

and I'm assuming the chrome fender trim is just the chrome line across the fake fender vent?

I tried adding the subwoofer to my order not too long ago. The email conversation went between the manager at my dealership and what it says on the email a regional rep with SoA. They said:

"Due to inventory there are no Subwoofers available for the first wave of BRZ sold orders."

Hope this helps.

I wonder how many of the pre-orders are the "first wave of sold orders". Is it all the people who are #1 in line in each dealership or is it based on allocation quantity per dealership. The bigger the allocation, the earlier they'll get the car.

All media reviews are killing me! The genesis coupe nor the 350z/370z had the same positive effect as the BRZ to anyone and everyone who's driven it.

Are you looking at the FR-S list or the BRZ list? AFAIK it's only available from Scion.

Chenslee 05-07-2012 04:29 PM

"popular package" Uh? Popular with who? The car is barely even for sale yet.

Not likely, the interior between the two cars is pretty different. Here's hoping, though.

That explains why you don't see it then. You'll have to look at other vendors, like 3M. That's what I plan to do.

neutron256 05-07-2012 07:27 PM

Spoiler lighting? Does anyone have a picture of this?

Spoiler lighting? Did you perhaps misread "Spoiler Lightning Red?"

I posted in another thread briefly mentioning this but my dealer called me last Saturday (the 5th) and asked me what accessories I wanted installed for my car. The reason he asked is because he told me my car would be coming into port in the next ~2 weeks so I'm guessing they need to have a few weeks of time to place the order for anything and have it set up to be installed once it gets here. Hope that helps!

So is it safe to assume that if you haven't opted for any accessories at time of preorder (due to price not being available), you still have a chance to add them once the car is at port?

So is the armrest going to be an option or become standard on 013 models???
Are there any photos of the armrest and does it fit existing centre consoles.

gonbrz 09-10-2012 09:52 AM

does any know if they are coming out with all season floor mats? They've saved my previous cars countless times

Turbowned 09-10-2012 09:56 AM

No word on floor mats yet. I think WeatherTech should have a set available by now.

ngabdala 09-10-2012 10:37 AM

Not yet. Just checked. None for any 2013 models Subaru/Scion/Toyota.
