Has anyone ever shoved 4 16" wheels and tires into their car?

Found a used set of 16" TE37s with tires I need to pick up, problem is they are 300km away from me and my only way to get them home is to shove them in my BRZ. At the same time I am delivering my other vehicle I sold up to that city so I would have a passenger with me on the way back that helped my drive my other car up.

Possible? 4 16X7 TE37s with 225/50/16 tires shoved in there?

I watched someone fit 3 18"9.5 and 2 18"8.5s with tires in their brz (one in front) so 4 16" should be cake.
put your back seats down and stack 2 in trunk and 2 in back.

I put 4x 17x8" RE30s *AND* 4x 235/40-17 tires, unmounted, into my BRZ.

You have to play Tetris.

4 wheels only, with tires? Easy.

You should be able to fit them in your car easily enough. I have carried 16x7 wheels with mounted 225/50/16 BFG Rivals in my BRZ. I've seen pics of people fitting 17x9 with mounted 245/45/17 tires in their cars.

BRZZZZZZZZZZ 01-31-2014 03:10 PM

OK well thats good news, because I know with my 135i I struggled to fit 2 18X8.5s and 2 18X9.5s with tires in there without using my front seat, and the BRZ is much smaller trunk and interior wise...

mjh712 01-31-2014 03:26 PM

Yes, fold the seats down, lay three down from the trunk (or just two & load the others in through the front). & then stack the last one on top of one of the two in the front from the passengers side with the seat pushed all the way up. Then push the seat back so the passenger can sit down.

No problem. I've got a set of 16's and a set of 17's and they both fit OK.

i've fit the 4 stock wheels in my car with no problem. 3 on the back seat and one in the trunk.

TM 01-31-2014 05:04 PM

I've done it when my snow tires and rims were delivered to my work place. I think I read somewhere it was designed to fit 4 tires and a toolbox for track days.

My snow tires+wheels are generally that size. No issues.

I've had the factory rims and tires seperated, Impreza Sport rims, prodrive gc-o5f rims and tires seperated and 2012 wrx rims shoved in there.

I'm so envious that you have prodrive gc-05F...

Like others have said you should have no problems. I've fit 4 rims in the car.

They're gonna be up for sale as soon as I get tires mounted to my new GC-05N's.

The trunk and rear area were supposedly actually designed specifically to hold 4 wheel/tire combos of rather large size in perfect fashion.

ShutterSpeed 01-31-2014 07:51 PM

I've put four 18x9.5 wheels in my car. the fit is tight but you can make it work and then have room for one on the passenger seat.

I don't know if it came from Toyobaru but I saw Jay Leno say this on Leno's Garage.

utekineir 01-31-2014 09:02 PM

You can fit 4 tires behind the front seats with the back folded down.

Then one maybe two in trunk

And whatever you can fit in passenger seat/floor

00NissanNinja 01-31-2014 09:40 PM

I put all four of my stock tires stacked 2 by 2 in the rear seating area with the seats folded down no problem.

I've put 4 stock OEMS with back seat down. Had to move around and stack them on top one another to get them to fit. Just be careful of sand and dirt from the tires rubbing against your interior plastic panel pieces. Got some nicks/bruises because I had a lot of sand on the tires and it was rubbing against some of the interior pieces when I tried putting the tires into the inside.

fstlane 01-31-2014 11:51 PM

A set of unmounted 245/40 tires and 17x9 wheels.

Yup, same here

Hefty bag over each tire keeps things tidy.
Yes. 4 tires fit in the car. And then some.

Nice. I was looking into getting the GC-05N's but they didn't sell them in Gold so I went with some OZ wheels. Looking at getting the new SSR Gtv03s and having them powder coated gold.

Heck Yeah!! That'll be schveet!!

a2cpc 02-02-2014 09:51 AM

I thought that was one of the selling features...4 tires, jack, tools and helmet could all fit in the back with the back seat down.
