Any BRZ owners have LEDs in their foglight?
Any BRZ owners have LEDs in their foglight?
Which one did you get? Any pics? Trying to find a LED set that is bright and match the OEM HID on headlight. Thanks. |
im also interested in this. hated the colour of my fogs so i put a yellow tint over them, curious to see what ppl are using led wise
|
Just get some 5000k LEDs and cross your fingers. Nothing will match perfectly so if you're a perfectionist don't even waste your money.

Our Stage 3 LEDs will be a pretty close match to the factory HIDs: http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/l...leds-pair.html
They will actually provide you will some usable light output too! Nick C. |
I have the Diode fog lights with LEDs. It's an almost perfect match to 5K HIDs.

Idk what stage it is, but they're the 7.5W high power LEDs that are an option on their kit. |

Quite a bit difference in brightness and usable output Nick C. |

Slightly curious: has anyone seen those Cayman DRLs that are in the shape of fog lights? I'm wondering what LEDs are used to power those and if it's possible to fit them in the BRZ. Might be fun to remove the current DRL bar and connect that LED DRL fog light in place of them. Of course, they would lose all functionality of being fog lights.

But there's no distinguishable color difference between stage 2 and 3, right? Quote:
Just kidding. That would look really cool. |
6K Morimoto D4S bulbs and stage 2 LED fogs. The pic looks good, but it is off. The Morimoto is more blue, but I do have a Lamin-X 60% tint in the head lights so that may be causing it go a little blue as well.
I really want to have a matching fog and head light color, is it possible? https://scontent-b-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/...85655604_n.jpg |

I'm using the stage two LED drom Diode Dynamics.
Below: stock foglight Attachment 65283 Below: Stage 2 LED foglight Attachment 65284 Below: Comparison of stock(bottom side of photo/passenger side)vs. LED(top side of photo/driver side) Attachment 65285 Below: Comparison of stock(left side of photo/passenger side)vs. LED(right side of photo/driver side) Attachment 65286 Below: Comparison of stock(left side of photo/passenger side)vs. LED(right side of photo/driver side) This picture shows the difference better then the above photo IMO Attachment 65287 I know they aren't a true match to the headlights but from a distance in the dark it's hard to tell a difference in color. I could really only tell a difference in the colors off glass surfaces when I'm facing them or when both lights reflect of someones bumper in front of me. Hope this helps! |
I went with H16 Osram 45W from Autolismo vendor.
Will post some pics when I get them. |
Personally, I think our Stage 3's will be a closer match to the factory HID color, they are definitely closer to 4300K than our Stage 1's.
We will have more details on all of our LED's in the coming months Nick C. |
Any of these bulbs require wire harness etc... ? Or is just plug and play?

Can anyone explain how to have the fogs on independent of the headlights?
Like so: http://hidpowerhouse.com/wp-content/...fog_Gs-LED.jpg This looks bad ass! |
Wire your fog switch output (OEM or aftermarket) to an independent relay. If you also keep the output hooked to the car's stock harness for stock foglights (even though you won't use the rest of the foglight circuit), the indicator on the dash will still light up when the headlights are on.
Essentially, you'll have a stand alone wire harness for your fogs that taps into the signal on the stock switch, thus bypassing the computer that only allows the fog lights to be on when the headlights are. |
Thanks for the post. Is this a complicated process ? I am assuming this requires some splicing of wires ?
