First street driven rocket bunny in Dubai *Official*

Hey guys, havent been on here in a while, alot has happened ever since.
After a year of hard planning, determination and patiently waiting for parts to arrive, has finally payed off. I would like to thank L&R Performance, Top Performance Shop, MSW and ZDegree for all their help to make this build even better that i hoped. Specials thanks to Robert @staycrushing for giving me the inspiration and ideas for this build through its good and toughest times. All parts were bought, I am not sponsored in anyway possible. I am blessed to have the car ready by Christmas day, this is truly one of the best Christmas gifts i ever had. Thank you 86cult for patiently waiting with me and helping me throughout this build. Last but not least a big thanks to Sam ONE Thousand Dunes Garage. P.S. this is only the first step, stay tuned for more to come. Thank you all for ur love and support.

I'm more shocked to see a Ford in a middle eastern country than I am a rocket bunny dd.

BlaineWasHere 01-26-2014 11:22 PM

So that's the final look? Or are you going to blackout the rivets?
I like the look and profile.. Just think the shiny rivet heads look a bit Frankenstein.
The guy cutting your fenders should consider using eye protection!
How's it handle with those new wheel/tire setup ? Enjoy!

Haha the sparks never got to his face just his hand.

i was considering painting the rivet heads, but then again they are screws.

im still considering options of lips front the front and the side. but im already looking into getting the rocket bunny v2 diffuser

Pickleahoy 01-27-2014 11:21 AM

Because you cant lower it any more my 2 cents are get thicker sidewalls. Its a nice look if you can fill the wheel wells a bit more

if i lower it anymore ill be scraping on every speed bump here. im already hitting the front bumper on some

Ashybone 01-27-2014 11:45 AM

What, you don't take your bumps side ways
But really, great looking car. Any plans for go parts next?

I would still be concerned about stray schrapnel or ricochet to the face.. Eye protection.. Too important to ignore..

Screws would make for an easy change over to an anodized dark screw..
Good luck with your project.. Looks mean!

Haha i do, but its a choice i have to make. if i dont angle it. it hits the bumper. if i do it scrapes on the underbody on the side :bonk:

Ashybone 01-27-2014 01:54 PM

So basically your in a loose loose situation... At least the car looks good.

Haha it is. but i guess no one thought of it. Thanks

ericw2k 01-27-2014 08:09 PM

Very very nice!!!

zooki 01-27-2014 11:00 PM

I have never understood the whole "fender flares screwed on with wood screws" look...it reminds me too much of 90's Honda Civics....but that's just me, I guess.

Yep, I hear ya.

I'm gonna wait for the "military" body kit .... :D

Ashybone 02-10-2014 04:04 PM

^^^^
Aw man, that's sexy. I'm totally converting my FR-S to look just like that. Imagine the rear wheel's you'll be able to fit on that thing lol.

I don't know how bad the roads are in Dubai, but I scrape all the time and my bumper is still holding on. I wouldn't worry about it too much honestly. How often are people looking at the paint on the bottom of your bumper anyway?

Also, I believe the mods can move this thread to the builds section if you ask them to.

zenki_levin 02-10-2014 05:11 PM

How high are the speedbumps overthere? Just lower it and turn the volume up from your radio when you scrape over them.

Looks good tho.

Fizzo 02-18-2014 06:53 AM

Got some clearer pictures for u guys. About the speedbumps issue, i will end up lowering it more after a new set of tyres, since my front tyre is pretty low profile, and the rear is flush so far, with only a finger gap. but the fronts are a 2 finger gap.

it just needs more low IMO...otherwise i think it looks pretty good

AARON691983 03-29-2014 04:38 PM

Instead of lowering it more why don't you first get the lower rocket bunny pieces and that will make it look lower to the ground?

But that would still leave wheel gap, im better off running less wheel gap with no lips for more clearance. i will be getting control arms to counter the camber in the rear. then i might even lower it an inch or so
