Sunday Shop Shindig CANCELLED (2/9/14)

Update: Snowlandia 2014 has brought shame to my event.

CANCELLED

OK guys, following Josh's lead, I am going to make my shop available for all 86ers to meet and work on their cars on Sunday, February 9th.

The shop will be open from 12p-5p. If you would like to work on your car then shout it out and I can arrange for a time slot so there is no fighting. (Because we are old school and punch out our differences, right?)

Going to the Portland Auto Show? So are we! Sunday morning 10a:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55682

Install your latest part, tweak your newest mod or maybe just detail the shit out of your ride. I have tools, shop vac, lift, air, etc. Or, just come by, pull up a chair near the heater and sip some beers with your fellow 86heads while they bust their knuckles.

If you haven't been to my shop, check the link in my signature!

Hardpack 01-27-2014 11:24 PM

If I go to the Portland Auto Show on the 9th, depending on when I finish with that I would be down to swing by and just hangout. I have no mods I need to put on :(

Decay107 01-28-2014 12:06 AM

I'm in, my car could use a good cleaning. Might have a few parts to install as well depending on what has arrived by then.

NickFRS 01-28-2014 01:44 AM

The FRS needs a wash n lift visit to make sure ish isn't leaking. ;) Got some brews to bring over on my way to work! Hopefully they are not to shaken up from my hoon home. I also got some degreaser awesomeness for you.

DarrenDriven 01-28-2014 11:11 AM

Nice! More beer is always better. Shake em... it's like Russian roulette. Better if you actually bring Russian beer, haha!

evan 01-28-2014 10:30 PM

Hey meh.. I need some help with a few things. Will text offline later this week since I don't want to hog the lift.. ;)

I would love to install the rear under diffuser, looking to see what clips I might need?

VesperLynn 01-29-2014 12:21 AM

I'm going to reserve a spot to do my endlinks!

need me to bring those stockers for u?

PoWn3d_0704 01-29-2014 01:32 AM

I've got a Perrin Front sway bar I haven't installed.... If you guys are down, I can use the lift for a bit to get that done? I can mob all the way up there that morning in time for the auto show? You all gonna meet at the show or something? I literally know NO ONE up there.

Other than that, should I get endlinks for this Sway Bar? It's the 19mm one. I don'y know if I need them, and since it's all coming apart anyways... may as well?

And then the question is Poly vs Spherical, but I don't know the difference.

503 BRZ 01-29-2014 01:53 AM

The autoshow I won't be able to make but I'd love to come hang out for a bit and meet more of the NW group.

May be a few non-lift mods I could get a hand with? (Plasti-dipping the chrome fender trim :) )

DarrenDriven 01-29-2014 12:04 PM

I think in five hours we can fit everyone in... just need to get the guys that want to use the lift in line. :)

end links aren't required until you get a rear one. I have the 19mm sway in front as well. Freakin pain to get in.

Nick it's okay, I found the BC ones. They should be fine in the meantime.

VesperLynn 01-29-2014 11:16 PM

I also have a 6puck ACT clutch with lightened flywheel that's been collecting dust in my garage...

If there's time after, I'd love to put this in. If not however that's totally cool I'll do it another day.

PoWn3d_0704 01-29-2014 11:25 PM

If you're putting together a list, I have a few things that are going to be ready to go on the car by the 9th.

Perrin Front 19mm sway bar
Perrin Poly/machined endlinks
(I'll defer to @Chen in terms of install time...)

I also have the new Perrin power steering mounts that replace the OEM bushings. Those should be fast.

Front sway bar shouldn't take long at all. You could do it on jackstands. But I do recommend 2 people to do the install. Guiding it from 1 side to the other is a pain. It took me about an hour and a half for both front/rear and end links installed on jacks.

BRZPDX 01-29-2014 11:50 PM

I guess I'll install the relays under the dash to fix the hyperblink.. What do you guys think, hyperblink = cheesy or not bad?

thanks man, but I've been crawling under that stank hole so many times, I can hit the spot pretty easily now. I rage pulled on the relay after my knuckles were bleeding/cold and pissed off so its loose as a mother fucker.

Decay107 01-30-2014 02:36 AM

Wow looks like this thread exploded since I last checked, I'll have to scale back a bit on what I was planning to bring. Don't want to hog the lift
