DFW Spring Cruise
 

It has been far too long since our last D-FW Cruise. Since we are a few months from Spring, I think it is time to start planning our next one.

Another member in our group knows of a restaurant near our route that we are going to meet and eat at. That said, I have not gotten the details, will update this thread with the details soon!

Also created D/FW 3/2014 Cruise Group to see if we can quickly communicate through the boards. The group is open and I have sent invites to the folks I captured on the thread. If I missed you, I am sorry and I will get you added.

I live down in A-town but I come up to DFW often, atleast once a month, because I grew up in plano and all my family is still up there.

If you guys are going to plan a sweet run, I would be willing to come up and get some great GoPro footage

Sounds good as long as it's not early morning. I have to wait for the ex wife to pick up the kiddos at 8:00 that morning then make the hour plus drive to wherever the meeting spot is. Maybe meet up for lunch then have the cruise after? Just an idea. Don't have to do the lunch thing if no one wants to.

This is copying the TRAD (Twisty Roads Around Dallas) route. It's more North than South obviously. A few highway runs but a lot of twisties in there too. About 100 miles and a little over 2 hours. Only thing I might suggest is changing the ending spot. Comments? Suggestions? @5hairpins your link gives me an error message.

Well, I certainly won't argue the route. I was going to try to build a route that looks interesting in the area between 35E and 35W south of 20 and I still might but we can discuss which route to take. I will update the first post with this map and indicate we need further input.

If we keep this on a Sunday I'm down.

Its a good drive from Louisiana to get to Dallas so of course if you drove out here you would be welcome to join us!

We still have to figure out a place for brunch.

This is a few weeks away have we decided on specifics yet?

Count me in on this. I need to meet some local folks and this would be a perfect opportunity. I'll probably still be sans mods since I doubt the garage space I need will open up soon... Somehow my roommate has taken 6 weeks to install a timing belt on his girlfriend's PT cruiser and it's still not done...

I might be down, depending on how much unpacking I have left to do. My wife & I are moving to Ft Worth that weekend.

Posted a couple of links on the first post to Spoons cafe in downtown McKinney, my first thought for brunch.

Spoons is a real good place to eat...There is also a decent sized parking lot about a block southwest from there too. Headsup though, Kentucky street is torn up right now between spoons and that lot
