Excelerate Performance: Your Northeast Performance and Installation Center

https://scontent-a-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/...34806042_o.jpg

Excelerate Performance is again proudly supporting the FT86Club forum!!! We are ready to help this community, whether it be providing performance parts, installation (including repair, service and upgrades), or the proper information to complete your build. We are ready and willing to assist you.

Here is some basic info on the shop: We started out about 11 years ago in a small location not too far from where we currently conduct business. In just a few short years we needed to expand and moved to a 2500 sq ft facility. This was our home for about 5 years while we continued to grow as a company and expand our reach into the aftermarket world. What seemed to be a big building when we first moved in soon became cramped; so another move was in order. That move (about a year ago) brought us to our current 5,000 sq ft location where we have 5 2-post 10K lifts, a new show room, a break room, a waiting room with a LCD TV and WiFi, etc. This will be our last destination, as we've completely upgraded our unit and have plenty of room to expand horizontally into other units.

We invite you to come down to our showroom to talk with Casey Tyler, our sales rep, and Joshua Lockwood, the owner. Casey owns a BRZ and has been growing in knowledge daily on the FT86 platform. Joshua Lockwood has almost two decades of automotive knowledge and experience and has a garage full of high hp vehicles. Our master mechanic, Jamie Brecciaroli, formerly of Sleeper's Performance, where he fabricated and installed custom turbo kits for many Audi/VW’s, is a very knowledgeable and capable mechanic. His knowledge of vehicles ranges from Acuras to Audis and everything in between. If you stop down, you'll quickly realize that we are a close knit group and we are here to provide a service to those who need it. We not only can provide the parts for your car, but we can also install those parts. If you're not looking to mod the car, we can also provide regular service work. Rest assured that with this combination of sales and service experience that your vehicle is in good hands.

So if there is anything you need please let us know and we would be glad to help. Excelerate Performance is a Master Distributor in the Northeast for a number of brands (Kraftwerks, Stoptech, ST Suspension, KW, Invidia, Greddy, ISC, Tein, Unorthodox Racing, Buddy Club, and more) but we can obtain almost any product for this platform that's currently available. We have a few major warehouses that stock a lot of parts available that are only 1-2 days away. I originally posted as Excelerate but now I'm posting as ExcelerateRep. I am also SLPRBRZ personally. I already know a few of you and I look forward to meeting more of you as time goes by. You can count on me being out and about at meets/shows once the weather starts to get a bit warmer.

Keep checking this thread for info and pics on the projects we are doing and the cars that we will be working on as well as sales we will be running from time to time. From everyone here at Excelerate Performance, we want to say thank you for welcoming us into this community and we look forward to working with everyone!

@ExcelerateRep These guys are good people. When I was living in CT I remember when Josh the owner was first starting out with the shop and he helped me get a fresh viper body kit along with new rims and tires for my 97 Dodge avenger. It's good to see good people still doing good things. I have to come up to visit one of these days to see the shop.

psyclone07 02-20-2014 10:14 PM

May have missed this but do you guys do alignments? Going to need one in the next few weeks when I finally install me rce tarmac 2's. If not any recommendations

Thanks for the kind words. Always nice to know we are doing a good job. Josh is still the owner and you should definitely come and check out the new shop. I would like to have a meet here one day when all the snow melts. The parking lot is definitely big enough.

We don't have an alignment machine yet. There's just no room for us to put one with our current setup.

ExcelerateRep 03-07-2014 04:05 PM

The XLR8 BR-Z has been dyno tuned! We just want to say thank you to John Visconti from Visconti Tuning for taking time out of his busy schedule to tune the vehicle. It was also a pleasure to finally meet you in person. We'd also like to thank MR Performance on Long Island for letting us make your shop noisy and smelly for a few hours.

https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...13356009_o.jpg

Review:
The tune could not have come out better! I have already put about 150 miles on the car since the tune in a bunch of different driving situations, such as rush hour traffic, back road driving, open highway acceleration, late night straight aways and cold start driving this morning. The difference between the Vtune and the base map are night and day. The car drives better now than it did when it was stock. Power delivery is excellent. Torque is steady across the board and acceleration is silky smooth. The base map had torque spikes and lulls which made driving a little annoying and really took away from the experience of driving the car. I'm more than happy to say that drive-ability is 110% better than it ever was. Flooring the car is so much more satisfying and smoother than it was before. Although the base map did make more torque in certain areas, it wasn't as smooth, having a lot of ups and downs throughout the torque curve.

Now for the numbers and the stuff you guys really want to see! My BR-Z is stock and the best run we had was 261whp and 220wtq. Because he was building a tune and we weren't just doing dyno pulls the car got really heat soaked. The dyno graph I have shows 245 whp and about 210 wtq which was the lowest reading we received. Most of the runs were around 255whp and 218wtq. The tuning was done on a Mustang dynamometer which does read lower than most dyno's but I was more than happy with the power the car made. That's an average of about a 100whp over stock!

All in all, this is definitely the tune that I would recommend for this kit and I will continue to go back to, and recommend, John Visconti for all of my tuning needs. He knows exactly what he is doing and it truly does show in his efficiency and in the finished product.

Well, here's the graph and the link to the video!:

We know there is a lot of competition on this forum and with the spirit of competition in mind, we would like everyone to know that if you have a lower price than what we are offering, let us know and we will gladly try to match or beat it. We have a lot of the products that are available for this platform in stock and ready to ship same day. Not only do we want to be offer quick shipping, but we want to be able to offer the best price. So please, let us know if there is anything more we can do on the pricing side of things.

So who's going to the Uconn car show on the 13th?

ExcelerateRep 04-10-2014 11:26 AM

I'm going to be putting together a Stoptech stocking order soon. If anybody is local and doesn't mind picking up the rotors at my shop then I can offer free shipping on top of our deep discounts. All I need is a deposit to put the parts on the order. I already have a couple people doing this.

Dpforlife 04-10-2014 03:54 PM

Good to know I would be able to stay in CT when I am ready to go SC, thought I had to go to NY or NJ!!

Also guys, I am placing the stocking order with Stoptech today. So if you want to save on shipping and do a local pick up, now would be the time to inquire.
