Bespoke email to First 86

Nope just your phone has it. Weird they say it's not available though. I got the app a couple weeks ago. Honestly doesn't feel like its worth it, but maybe there's more to it than I've seen. They need to integrate more apps into it though. That's the main failure of the app radio units. They need to support all the major music apps especially spotify, cuz I'm not using pandora.
|
I don't think it has navigation even if you use a phone with it. I think is have routing. Naviagiton being a nice lady telling you to turn left in 100 feet and re-calculating when you screw up. Routing being google maps with a blue "you are here" dot.

I could only justify 150 for that system seriously. I can buy many small mods for that money, trd push start, leather shift knob... But its nice to hear from them though
|
Yeah well. It has navigation of they allow it to work with certain apps on your phone, but not the integrated app, that one is just routing.
|
You are right about navigation vs routing. Even the Scion docs call it "routing" in quotes.
No email for me yet but this is a definite pass for me particularly given I do not now, nor will I ever, own an iPhone. |
its iphone only, paaaaaaassssssssssssssssss. Plus its unnecessary, stock audio is pretty badass already. My phone has better audio + turn by turn than a garmin unit anyways, no need to satnav in a car.
|
I'm goin to be skipping this too I think. Probably get one of the Pioneer radios with app support. Like Jack Hollis himself said, why buy and learns whole new tool when I already have a smart phone that will do all of thy stuff.
Brett |
I was thinking the same, but really from what I've been reading the pioneer app radios arent that great either unless youre only planning on using the few apps they support. I'm still trying to figure out what would be the best alternative myself.

Did other 1st86ers get this email? I'm a little concerned I didn't receive it. Did this per chance come from your regional reps rather than corporate?
|
It came from Korey. He was the accessories dude we met at Scion corporate.

Don't really care about BeSpoke just want to make sure I'm not missing other opportunities. |
I got that email about an hour after I received one from the Regional Manager saying cars should be allocated to dealers by the end of the week and they should have our VINs then.
Also, not getting the BeSpoke. |
I just got the email too, def BeSpoke is nicer looking touchscreen unit I will say..
Also I think it it is more power than standard unit. Android is to come from what I hear. |
Yea, Korey resent it. He and I had a discussion about it because I wanted to let him know there were several 1st86ers that did not receive it so he wanted to re-issue.
If it had true NAV not requiring a smartphone, I'd be tempted, but the current "routing" combined with iPhone requirements (supposedly Android coming) makes it a "no want" for me, particularly at this price point. |
I got the e-mail, but I'm not getting the BeSpoke. It's just not worth it. I already have a double DIN head unit that does basically the same thing, uses my IPhone as the navigation unit. I paid a whopping $300 for it, and that will be going in my car.

Getting one installed in mine today. Installed price is confirmed $845. The reason I'm buying this one rather than aftermarket is the factory look fit and finish. Other's come "close" but do not look 100% factory. Plus, this unit will allow me to continue to use the factory usb and aux cable inputs.
|
Why not just go with Pioneer AppRadio2?
