Another FR-S Crash.
http://ktla.com/2014/01/04/car-hits-...#ixzz2pRdW0BeI
I honestly feel bad for the family, however if you're dumb enough to drink and drive AND speed it's hard to show a lot of sympathy. Thoughts? |

5 people in the car??? I can barely fit 2 including myself!
|
How could they speed with 5 people in the car?
Jokes aside, that guy and his family is going to be mind fucked for the rest of their lives. Going to jail for accidentally killing your younger brother... |
I feel bad for the family, and that guy's going to be screwed for the rest of his life knowing that his poor decisions resulted in his brother's death. No sympathy for those that DWI though. Zero.

But I mean next time you could ACTUALLY be helpful by posting the link to the thread. |
I can't imagine the force of an accident where four people are ejected from an FR-S, even though they weren't wearing seatbelts I assume...
The original post is in the SoCal subforum. |

happy princess? |
Made me happy. I wasn't going to do a search! :)

Someone showboating their sports car while drunk.
I had an uncle who was one of those super conservative types before it was cool. His solution was if someone died, Judge Dredd style to the forehead. His other one was a single road with bumpers on the sides that you could drive on, either direction. Sometimes I couldn't disagree with him. |

80% is a little silly. A lot of us browse by 'unread' or newly posted in which would actually lead to finding it :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Speed Kills, and street racing and street drifting is stupid.
wanna race, drift or go fast, go to a track people. May this type of thing be a wake up call for all people on this forum, hopefully we can save a life |
This is my dream come true, and I'm being completely serious.
I wish everyone who drinks and drives would kill their loved ones in the resulting accident. |

It is terrible that this accident happened, it also seems like so many of them were not wearing seat belts (as 4 were ejected from the car) None of this is good news, being seriously happy that the person who was responsible had family members die due to his negligence is kind of sick. Wouldn't it be better if no one was seriously hurt and he/she learned a lesson and never did it again? Or if anyone was hurt, it was the individual who put everyone at risk? |

Well sure there are degrees of things which I would like to see. Ideally the drunk driver would die by himself without affecting anyone else. But since the drunk driver ALMOST NEVER dies in these cases, they should run down one of their loved ones, instead of someone elses. |
Tragic story. I feel for everyone involved. Young person, sporty car, alcohol, etc. Nothing good can ever come from it.
Just tragic.. |

5 people in that car ..... they must have been small people. Too bad the accident happened though. Unfortunately, it shows that all the safety features in new cars, can't save people from bad judgement....http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra.../shakehead.gif humfrz |

Which also explains how 4 of the 5 were ejected from the car. Insane. Alcohol, speed, not enough seat belts, cramming 5 people in a small car....I'm surprised 4 out of 5 came out alive to be honest. |
I feel bad for them all, and a shame DWI and or speeding are never good

When I was 4, my mom crashed our car into a guy who spun out in front of us. He was drunk, racing, ran a stop sign, and was on a multiple times suspended license. We were in a VW bug and I was thrown forward by the weight of our dog behind me and hit my head on the metal glove box door, which had come open. I had to relearn how to walk, it was like I went back to being a toddler. I also have zero memories of my life around/before that time - not that people usually remember a lot from that young, but I literally have zero.
This was 40 years ago and the judge told my parents that he would throw the book at the guy, but that he would soon after be back out and do it again until he killed someone. Which is exactly what happened. |
Unfortunately laws are more stringent on people who smoke a recreational drug (that harms nobody else but themself) than they are on multiple time offending drunk drivers.

This kid probably doesn't even speed on his own and was just trying to be a show off..what a shame @thill - in NY if you get a 2nd dui within 10 years of your last one it's a felony...but for the most part you're completely right :/ |
They must have been going so fast plus that added weight...no bueno
|
Well at least he didn't hit another vehicle in the process...
|
|
Instead of being over judgmental on other people's lives, why not just wish the deceased to rest in peace and the injured a speedy recovery?
