206.5hp on NA tuned with premium gas. 200hp NA barrier broken. :)

I had my car tuned with all the bolt on parts I installed a couple months back and forgot to post it here. I got 206.5 at the wheels on the dyno dynamics dyno. I'm NA, no forced induction. I also use normal premium gas. The air was pretty dense and it was a little chilly out (around 50f if I remember correctly). Check out my build thread in my signature for all the parts that are on my car and audio clips for my exhaust. I waited to get it tuned until I put on my JDL UEL headers, so there's one of the many bolt on parts I have on it.

Dyno sheets are in my build thread as well as before and after the headers (and other bolt ons). Never got a completely stock dyno run but the other cars dynoed that were stock at the same place I take my car were getting around 160rwhp if I remember correctly.

NICE!

Congrats! I can't wait to see someone with the new Nameless EL header dyno sheets...glad these cars are slowly breaking the 200whp NA on pump gas! :)

Paging @nelsmar

nelsmar 01-04-2014 03:05 PM

Congrats! Were these corrected or uncorrected numbers? Those JDL headers really seem to be doing well these cars! Also what octane?

I'm tellin ya... i needed that 0.2WHP gain. P.S. we fixed brent's car... going back soon... =x

husker741 01-04-2014 03:09 PM

Now go track it and try to beat the 13.9 that the other dude got.

mxsled 01-04-2014 03:24 PM

93 octane or 91?

I've have a similar setup to you except for the frontpipe and overpipe
good to see those gain with the header!

Jdl header ftw!

brn12345 01-04-2014 03:45 PM

Good job!!! Do you have a log of that run?

Captain Insano 01-04-2014 04:47 PM

Awesome!!

ultra 01-04-2014 05:11 PM

Bravo, sir!

Cross posting the dyno sheets would be nice.

We get 92 octane in OR. And it's winter blend so E10 garbage gas.

What baseline? dyno chart? What cf? Not to be a doubter but that's about 10hp over the previous best pump gas NA.

Bahraini86 01-05-2014 12:19 AM

wow! great power man! congrats buddy

btw, what was ur baseline for stock?

Fast_Freddy 01-05-2014 01:28 AM

Congrats! I do believe that you now have the highest N/A dyno result to date. Just for the sake of factual accuracy, the 200whp barrier was broken several months back by @wrxgoose when he made 200.5whp on another Dyno Dynamics.

wrxgoose 01-05-2014 06:51 AM

very nice, dude.

jdm-az-fuk 01-05-2014 07:56 AM

Post the graph and set up

troek 01-05-2014 08:11 AM

is no one reading the part where he says graph and setup are in the build thread?

FR-S Matt 01-05-2014 08:29 AM

Congrats on the numbers! Makes me so happy I got a JDL UEL header. I can't wait to dyno my setup.

StormTrooper 01-05-2014 08:35 AM

Why the yellow headlights?? Like the alcantara though.

Do you have a posting of all the bolt-on parts you have on your car?

Did you get your car tuned after all your installs?

EDIT.... DURP.

It says in your first Sentence; as I quote "I had my car tuned"!

Sometime I wonder what my readen' comprehenchen is? Does make a feller wanderrrr!

Yes. I need one more fine tuning day with FA20club then its dyno time. My last revised tune was for the header and 3" exhaust, but I changed my header back to a Q300 and Invidia catted front pipe. Probably needs a slight adjustment for that.

No baseline from my car but from numerous other cars. Dyno charts are in my build thread. The air was very dense that day which is why I got more horse power than expected. See my build thread for details.

People have selective reading. ;)

Because I like how it looks. :) There are about 4 people in my local area that have it now so I'm not quite as unique but I still like it. :)

ramiram1984 01-05-2014 02:27 PM

Make a vid but a pull one :)

1086 01-05-2014 02:34 PM

In your best words, how much different is the added +40 whp? Can I beat my friend's mazdaspeed 3 now in a straight away? hahaha :P

By the way, the yellow headlight tint looks great - also its nice to see a red/gold combo - I don't think I have seen that yet - at least a clean version :D

GT86meMR2 01-08-2014 03:56 PM

Impressive :)

NJA 01-08-2014 04:16 PM

nice work!

w00t692 01-08-2014 04:17 PM

Knowing how important it is to have an EL header on an engine, i can't wait to see a proper EL header make some power.

GT86meMR2 01-08-2014 04:19 PM

I hope nameless can do even better than this ^^

w00t692 01-08-2014 04:29 PM

There's a few key critical points to making a good header.

1.) equal length!
2.) primary runner length
3.) stepped primary runners (finding the right point to step them)
4.) merge collector angle (divergence)
5.) venturi size and angle of convergence

Both the last 2 affect the rpm range the header works at, but not as much as the length of the primaries does.

longer transitions get the header to work over a broader rpm range.

NemeGuero 01-08-2014 05:04 PM

Hey.. so is there any info in your build thread in your signature?

2point0 01-08-2014 06:46 PM

Nice numbers, but digging through the build thread gave me a headache. It'd be nice to see a summarized mod list in addition to the timeline-style.
