My first mod was JDM Knee pads... My knees love me!

My first mod this year might be lowering springs, and my holiday mod was Sard Racing seat covers!

Vlady 01-02-2014 02:04 AM

I got a whiteline bushing and kartboy rear bushing! One of my favorite mods other than the openflash tablet :)

N1rve 01-02-2014 02:20 AM

I was keen on saving for force induction, but I think my first mod(s) for 2014 will be coilovers most likely ST's, Some 17x8 Rota G-force in hyper black, and new tires. I really hate how the wheel gap looks and the stock rims. Its gonna be a few months and I have to make sure its okay with the miss first.

I'll be doing tint for my first mod of 2014. Still trying to decide whether I wanna be lethal and go with 35% or go with 20%. Any suggestions?

I meant to spell legal, not lethal. Damn auto correct lol

Some people will say it's not dark enough, but some people say they like it. How dark will depend on what YOU like. If you don't want to get pulled over, do the legal tint. Also it will depend on how good your eyes are. I don't know how your vision is. Everyone's preference is different.

For my car, I'm going to do a conservative 40% tint all around. Just can't decide on the brand yet haha.

I just ordered a few things within the last week. These will be my first mods since getting the car back in September. It took me a bit to come up with the extra cash, especially after I had the car opti-coated first before doing anything else.

I picked up a set of Rally Armor mudflaps since I was tired of seeing all of the dirty water spray on my car that was coming off of the tires, and I like that they offer some protection from debris. I also bit the bullet and ordered some aftermarket tail lights, even though I've already spent too much money this past month (I guess we'll call it a Christmas present to myself).

Both should be arriving within the week - I'm excited and I hope everything goes well with the installation since I haven't modded my own car before.

Also, not exactly car parts but my awesome significant other bought me a fantastic pair of leather driving gloves - I wasn't sure if I would be comfortable using them at first, but now I love them!

It's okay to be lethal as well. :suicide:

Carlitoz3 01-02-2014 04:20 AM

Nameless header with the overpipe. Also a trd intake to go with my trd exhaust!
Starting off the new year pretty good, can't wait!

I've always gone with 20% on my part vehicles and have never been pulled over, but I've noticed that this car draws a lot more attention.

I like the clean look of a lighter tint all the way around?

We are here in vegas and 20% around is pretty common, But i had cars in other states and 35% was my tint of Choice it was a cleaner look -

What i don't think looks good is going with 5% on the back and then a different color on the doors

Hope that helps thats my honest opinion

Chen 01-02-2014 04:28 AM

Tint than exhaust and intake.

This car actually has some really dark factory tint. I was looking at the windows and they appear to be like a 70%...so adding 20% will probably appear to be like a 10% tint.

Yes, this car DOES draw a lot more attention. Cops will probably think you're a punk kid haha...

Potentially interested. PM me on the details of the offer and if possible, pics of what they will look like. I have a build thread on here and a camera capable of taking very good pics/video.

I'd be interested in clear.

As of right now, Diode Dynamics fog lights set looks pretty good.

What's the difference between the winjet fogs and the OEM one? Just the price?

We saw these at sema - but they have not shown us the switch or the harness yet - Winjet has alway been a foglight MFG for the past 12 year, I think these things will be really nice

Have a few small items that will get install soon. for 2014 i hope to save enough money get my first real mod, some kw3 :)

Myles89 01-02-2014 06:53 AM

Just ordered HID's, fog lights, whiteline shift bushings, beatrush duracon shift knob, and getting my tint installed tomorrow. Can't wait!!!

21_nola_05 01-02-2014 09:04 AM

I always start with the cheap mods ALL led swap, debadge etc

mush 01-02-2014 09:36 AM

Installed trunk led strip, led license plate, and switched my side maker from amber led to white led... Not too sure about that white led side maker tho, might switch it back to amber

After 3 sets of led for the license plate i finally found one that i like
First one was too blue
Second one was a weird white
Third one is perfect and really bright

Gonna blackout the interior
Maybe some wheels and drop later this year

Demandred7 01-02-2014 10:48 AM

First mod was 30% all around (done by a local tint shop), first mod done by me - Beatsonic shark fin antenna, and first mod for 2014 will be the GrimmSpeed brake master cylinder brace (once it arrives).

PoorMansRacing 01-02-2014 11:01 AM

I bought the APR CF mirrors two days ago, so that will be the official first mod of 2014. I'm also waiting on receiving my Beatrush front beam and rear frame braces. ECUtek will follow within a couple of weeks. Pretty excited :happyanim:

Frstorm 01-02-2014 11:27 AM

Well I bought knee pads just haven't had time to install. That's the first mod of the year

tennisfreak 01-02-2014 11:33 AM

I literally installed these two mods yesterday so they are my first of 2014.

SARD seat covers and raceseng 86 shift knob.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7395/1...1c5aeed0_z.jpg
http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2877/1...27d3b510_z.jpg

Look at my list of mods in my sig. Out of everything I have done to my car I can say without a doubt that the SARD seat covers should have been done first.

Kuri 01-02-2014 01:09 PM

Weathertech Floor Mats, Diode Dynamics LEDs

the new guy 01-02-2014 02:28 PM

Driver mod! HPDE session in a couple of weeks ^_^

HD86 01-02-2014 02:57 PM

Don't know if this counts as a mod, but I just ordered some Rexpeed wide angle mirrors yesterday and now waiting for them to get shipped to me :)

VERY NICE -

Captain Stall 01-02-2014 07:07 PM

I love this forum. I found out about KatSkinz (sp?) here, and now about SARD.

I was given a Jabra incar Bluetooth speaker by my brother in law who didn't know the FR-S has this built in. Since it's getting returned, I'm planning on using the $$ to get fog lights because of the highway driving I do. I was considering the Nigel JDM kit to get a switch inside the cabin (I don't want them on all the time like the Diode Dynamics kit) but I would certainly consider the Winjet kit. I'm in Canada.

tunami 01-02-2014 09:32 PM

Raceseng slammer knob, great way to start off 2014!

merino_frs 01-02-2014 09:40 PM

Shneegle 01-03-2014 12:59 AM

BPS Short Shifter, MTEC Shift springs and I've got Enkei RPF1's waiting for some rubber. One of these will be the first of 2014!
