Iggee seat covers
Came across these seat covers
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SCION-FR-S-2...-/140902470838 Wondering if anyone have them? Looks pretty promising. They have several color options too. |
Looks good. Is that price for back seats as well?

I've seen these as well and have been tempted to try them. I'm waiting on someone else to take the plunge, lol.

I want a set of these too they seem to get pretty good reviews:
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f245/...-covers-771678 There is one negative that one guy said they ripped but another review said they've had it for 2 years and no rips. The only thing is I noticed its PVC material.. Doesn't guerrillaracing sell clazzico PVC seats for $285, entire set? Edit found the thread http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20064 |
waiting for someone to jump on this.
|
Looks pretty nice... I'm sending a message to the vendor to inquire about the puckering along the sides...
|
I had these in my del sol about 5-6 years ago, and they still look great today.
They had really good fitment at least on the del sol seats, and the material seems to last pretty well. I was considering these but then the GF got me the SARD seat covers for Christmas, so someone else will have to be the guinea pig. |
I have iggees on my wrangler and they are awesome. They fit so tight no one even believes me that they are covers haha. Also holding up very well after almost 2 years most of that with the top down in California sun. However due to the extreme contours on the fr-s seats, I doubt they will fit as snug as a plain shape seat. I would expect some wrinkles etc, but I guess thats to be expected with a cover.

"...covers are slip on and will have wrinkles..." |

I'm not so sure about that. My SARD seat covers fit perfect. There is one small wrinkle in the passenger seat that is only there because I got hasty putting it on. I plan on taking that wrinkle out tomorrow. |
Still holding out for an affordable all black center diamond pattern

Aww, that's quite disappointing, the wrinkles |
I have guerilla racing's clazzio seat covers in mine. fits great and thick material, i dont see it ripping any time soon.

good luck hunting :) |
I just ordered the IGGEE set: http://goo.gl/vQqFHP Couldn't argue with $179.99, free shipping and the ability to use my Bill Me Later account. Let me know if anyone is interested in how the install goes, could post pics/video for those interested.

Gross. For a couple hundred extra you can re-upholster them properly.

Yep that's exactly what I want what you just said. Nice photo I might have to save that for future reference |
BTW I have these (the Iggee ones) in my car. I quite like them, they don't wrinkle at all. I guess they could if someone went about tugging on them straight up. After I installed them, people thought I got new seats.
|
They're here. Took a little while for them to get here, but everything looks in order. I will post pictures of the install after the wife gets home with my car. Also, looks like it came with nice little seat belt covers. Didn't see that in the description, must have overlooked it.

Yes.. Sorry, I strongly recommend lifting the seats by removing the bolts for the rail with a torx E10
And yes all that material tucks under the seat |
Ok cool, I'm excited to see how they turn out. I have been debating between these and the Clazzio's.

Those are nice (Can't say I like the color scheme) I would get those covers. Otherwise re-upholster is what I would go with, along with a diamond pattern for the headliner as well. I just feel the seats in the Scion will wear down soon (especially the driver side) the material seems pretty cheap to me. |
so where are the pics?

Better late than never, eh guys? Here are my pictures during and after installation:
Out of the Box: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7458 I had to get under the seat and remove an elastic band that holds the cloth flap from the upper seat, and connects it to the lower seat. Took me a little while to worm it out and I had to use my cell phones camera in video capture mode, sliding it under and around the seat to see how the bar was holding the band in place. Its fairly simple once you figure it out and was, to me, the hardest part of the whole process, which is to say it was all pretty easy.. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7455 Now that the pesky flap/connector was out of the way, I sliped the seat cover on, making sure to line up the holes for the seat belt hook. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7457 After making sure the top part of the cover felt snug I tucked the soft Velcro piece through the seat cushions and fully aligned before the final tightening. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7456 After getting the top seat feeling pretty snug, I realized I was going to have to cut holes for the head rests. I did this VERY CAREFULLY with a sharp box cutter. You want to cut this piece smaller than the actual plastic receptor, this makes it slide right under and will hide any imperfections in the cut. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7454 Here's what it looks like once you slide it under. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7453 .. And now with the whole head rest in. The head rest cover was very difficult to get on correctly, but fit snug once secured. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7452 The bottom part of the seat was pretty easy, with small elastic loops that used hooks to secure onto the seat frame on the bottom of the seat assembly. You don't have to be exact with those either, just be sure to not attach those in a spot where they will be pinched when you slide your seat forward/backward. Here are the final results: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7459 I have had tons of people comment positively on the seats and they cant believe what I paid for the covers. The only real knock I can throw at them is that the lower seat cover's edges show pretty glaringly when you open one of the doors. Great otherwise, would HIGHLY recommend. If nothing else they help keep your stock seats in good shape and add comfort. |
