That's correct!!! I have an appt with my surgeon in January to see if my shoulder is good to go!!

M-17 12-27-2013 03:19 PM

You know what, you're not that much taller than me @sklimo, but you may be heavier than me.

I shredded off 10lbs for the comeback. Where you at?

I boxed for a little bit and was interested in Muay Thai, but I don't have time right now. I have lots of relatives who compete/teaches Jiu Jitsu.

As far as being a fan goes, I think my stepdad still has the VHS tapes of UFC 1 and 2 somewhere in my mom's house lol. Those were classics.

Trained Bjj and got a blue belt, loved it best form of martial arts for defense, but for offense, muay thai is where it's at. I see those guys train and it's serious power and speed.

This guy knows.

If my knees can't dish out or withstand the duration, I may switch to BJJ. But then I'd have to pick up my weight again though. :(

The thing i Like about judo is that you can combine it with so many other martial arts, take for example hip throw to wrist lock. Love that combo :bellyroll:

That's very unfortunate for Anderson. I wanted to see him retire with a win; not with a nasty injury. He's still the best pound for pound in my eyes who has done a lot for the sport. One of the greatest, if not the greatest, Champ of all time!

BlueDubbinTDI 12-30-2013 04:16 PM

Been watching it since UFC 86. The entire sports bar went NUTS watching the 2 slow mo replays of him fucking up his leg it was unreal. I bet he comes back in a couple years. He's not too old to return from this.

sklimo 12-30-2013 04:38 PM

BJ Penn posted on FB that the surgery was a success

STV3 12-30-2013 04:39 PM

I read that the doctors said it will take 3-6 months for his leg to heal. I was so upset when I saw his leg snap. He wasn't acting like a jackass like he was in the first fight and had his leg no snapped he probably would have won this fight.

I didn't watch the fight but I heard the first round went to Weidman but Silva was gunning hard the second round right up until he had his leg go out on him.

Yeah Silva was on his back most of the first round. Second round was looking good and then snap.
