Evasive Motorsports Pikes Peak FR-S sets new ButtonwillowCW13 record 1:49.6

Recent testing of the Evasive Pikes Peak FR-S, and we managed to set the fastest FR-S / BRZ time at Buttonwillow CW13. We de-tuned the HKS Supercharger to 360whp as we are still on factory Subaru Legacy rods in our backup engine. We are stoked to see the car lay down a 1:49.6 lap despite being down on power and being over weight. Goes to show what proper aero and suspension tuning can do in a race car. This is only our 1st time testing at Buttonwillow with the Pikes setup. Wait until you see what we have in store for 2014 :)

Driver: Robert Walker

Rod failure at Super Lap Battle. We believe the motor was hurt after Pike Peak race.

Evasive, impressive work on a pretty flawless lap. I really enjoyed the video.

The HKS Super charger (despite being detuned) has that car pulling hard, and the aero, along with KW Suspension seems to have the FR-S glued to the track. The driver is obviously no hack either.

On behalf of myself, Tom B and everyone at Motovicity, congratulations guys.

Man... I can only imagine what this car will do at full power!

Did you guys swap in a larger pulley to reduce output or play with a boost/throttle restricter of some sort?

feldy 12-26-2013 07:58 PM

What's it going to take to get mike in the seat for a few laps?

charged86 12-26-2013 08:19 PM

CONGRATULATIONS

bigger pulley was used, also it is tuned conservatively.

Wow that is smoking, especially considering you dialed the car back. Great driving too, congrats!

Have you guys done anything to prevent the whole DI seal issue that a couple people have been experiencing lately?

We did have a DI issue but we just changed it with the new revised ones from Toyota.
