I though this was gonna be one of those finish the sentence threads. To which I would say "that wonderful feeling.... When she does the arch"
|
Nope it was more of a sarcastic kinda title, wish it wasn't though..
|
probably be focused on the wonderful feeling when you are in the passenger seat of someone street racing and arent dead. im sure its not fun but if you dont want that kind of thing to happen its best not to put yourself in the situation

Sorry to hear about the misfortune. That wonderful feeling... When you take off your shoes after a long hiking. |
That was the one and only time I've been in that situation and I could've gotten out and sat on the side had I not been comfortable or the slightest bit worried. I understand fully what could happen and inevitably it was my stupid decision, I'm glad nothing worse happened other than being pulled over. Either way was never planning on doing it again anyway

Well, if said friend gets mad at you, just send him this in return:

So do you get assessed points/fines/j-time for being a passenger in a street race?
|
Nope, just get to be a douche and testify against a friend since he plead not guilty at his first trial. Here, assuming they don't have video and witnesses both of which we were lucky enough to have...., you can plead not guilty five times and they drop it completely. Up until the fifth one they try and give you "deals" hoping you don't know about that, so his deal was a 12 month deferral and a $600 fine. Sadly with the video footage and two witnesses he's kinda fucked with pleading not guilty.

Here in Ontario (that's in Canada BTW, I've encountered many that don't know), street racing falls under stunt driving and the police seize your car permanently as well as a $5000 to $10000 fine and temporary suspension of license. Good luck with insurance as well afterward. Same for 50 km (30 miles) over posted speed limit.
Street racing has resulted in some horrendous accidents, injuries and or fatalities. The kid who smoked 4 people with his pickup truck in TX should be punished in a manner more befitting someone who should be extremely remorseful for stealing the lives of 4 innocent people. |
I assume there is no law stating a passenger has to be lucid at all times in a motor vehicle?
If someone were to claim impairment due to the consumption of legal substances, I don't know maybe Cough Syrup or Flu Medication or Travel Sickness pills, that someone's evidence may be deemed inadmissable in a Court. Not saying our OP would do this, but someone in that position might say to the Judge "Dude, I was like totally wasted on Cough Syrup and all I remember is some pretty lights and talking to the nice Officer." I wonder if this could ever possibly happen. Good luck anyway. |

"I can't recall" seems to work in the movies. Maybe can try it in real life

Find better friends. I hope your friend wasn't driving a FR-S/BRZ/86.. otherwise he'd be like this douche. Sad part is some of his clueless buddies are congratulating him thereby encouraging this juvenile-teenage-bullshit behaviour. This guy is in his mid 30's..although he looks like he's an out of shape 40's biker Douche Driver in FR-S account http://oi43.tinypic.com/2ug16yc.jpg Witness account https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...38204896_o.png |

Yup yup, already done. Dude hardly talks to me anymore anyway. Just happy I haven't had to testify, it'd be a pain driving up there for this bs.
