Pretty excited, suppose to get my car 5/3. I guess that what I get for getting it through the biggest Toyota dealership in the world. I will have picture posted and what not... Toyota Longo and Jeff is the best and most supportive so far I have ever dealt with as in dealer or carsaleman. Us First 86 in socal should have a meet before the end of May.

This thread is/was so shady and misleading, LOL. He didnt state that he was a First 86er in the title, which led me to get super hyped and excited. And then I read the post haha. Booooo :(

Don't feel bad, my dealer doesn't know much. The only thing I've been able to find out is it will be mid May when I get it.

I would call and talk to the rep you are dealing with. His corporate rep should've notified him of the "event" they should be planning for your delivery. We were just notified last Thursday (4/19). All First 86 cars MUST BE delivered by the 18th of May.

I sorta remember you because your name is the same as your screen name. Sorry to hear that the dealer has not inform you about anything. Longo or Jeff has been keeping me inform with periodic email here and there. Overall it has been a very pleasant buying experiences so far. I am hoping to get modified soon.

I called the Southeast Toyota HQ today (see notes here). Even the Scion rep who helped me had no clue about the 1st86 program, although she did provide good information.

It seems this whole program was a bit haphazard in its implementation.

I agree- it seemed so last minute. My dealer knew nothing about the 1st 86 program until he got an email that I won. BUT....still feel fortunate that I won.:bow:

Agreed! All I really expected was a guaranteed first delivery slot. Anything else is just ice in a big empty parking lot! (That's the motoring equivalent of "icing on the cake" right?)

Just talked to my dealer today in the Atlanta GA area, he told me the car would be in on 5/11 or 5/12. I have him checking to see if the color was changed to Whiteout which I requested in Long Beach, haven't heard yet.
I also asked if they know anything about the special First 86 logo or designation that Jack H mentioned during the Q&A session at the car museum but no info yet. Has anyone heard anything on that?

The delivery date matches up with what Southeast Toyota told me today when I called them.

We'll have to meet at the Varsity in Gwinett or something once the cars are in our hands!

Just curious which dealerships did in the Atlanta area did you guys choose?

Im looking at a few that I want to check out but if you or others had a good experience there is really no need to look around.

I went through Team Toyota/Scion in Lithia Springs (I-20 W past 6 Flags at Thornton Road). Picked them because I live out that way.

They've been OK to work with, but they just haven't been getting much info from Scion on the program so its hard to judge. If you're interested PM me and I'll give you the Scion Manager's name and the sales guy that's helping me.

Sounds good. Don't have a firm delivery date yet, but once we're in our rides will figure something out. I work out that way so I could even do a weekday lunch some time.

Yup Jeff has been really informative and i'm not even an 86er. I will also be going to Longo May 3rd to see you get your FRS and hopefully get some info on my Car as well eventhough im not a first 86 :D.

may 3 is next week...the damn car's gonna show up and it'll be a surprise and northridge scion will be like "oh shit they sent us a prototype on accident!!" or "oh this must be the new tC, lets add 5k markup"

Well, I got an e-mail from my dealer...with my VIN! I don't know exactly when it will be delivered, but my salesman told me mi-May, which matches up with Dadhawk & AtlantaRock.

Yeah I hope to see you there. I am anticipating the days, which was weird because before I knew when it was going to come in, I wasn't all that excited.

I hope you dealer tell you something instead of leaving you in the dark.

If they mark up a Scion you can lose your Scion sales license. Trust me not worth it. But I will warn everyone to place and order cause waiting lists are no fun at ALL. place an order with me :P

My dealer in Jacksonville, FL, sent me a letter saying my First 86 car will be available on May 20. Odd that it's a bit later than what I'm hearing from you Georgia folk, especially considering my dealer's in the same city as the port. I wonder if my changing colors has anything to do w/ it. Hopefully they're not planning a week of letting the staff hoon it around before handing it over...

Regardless, I'm fine w/ it arriving later, and I'm glad they're giving me a weekend date given that I'll be coming in from out of town.

double check that, i specifically asked one of scion's director folks at the first 86 event and they do not have ANY direct revocation rights for markup. "MSRP is just that, a SUGGESTION, we strongly advise the dealers to go by them, but they are in no way obligated." he did add that he felt there really wouldnt be an issue.

Anyway, I still havent heard and have started to want to just get another vette...

Is someone able to look up the cars by VIN to track them? I'm overseas and have limited contact with my dealer.
