Fender Vent Diffuser

My apologies if this has already been posted, but I tried searching and could not find anything on this piece.

I was just wondering if anyone has bought these and installed them? I would like to know if they have good fitment or are they going to fly off at excessive highway speeds? I think TRD wants $600 for their vents that were apparently dipped in gold...these are more in my price range.

fyi, those are more "dive plane" than "diffuser".

Shipping is killer if they are available in the USA.

Shark dorsal fin for the roof, shark pectoral fins for the fenders.

We're going to need a bigger boat.

I've installed them.
They fits well over stock fender vents using double-sided tape.

Why cant somebody just make BRZ knockoffs for that much...

chenshuo 12-08-2013 08:25 PM

i've been looking for those ever since i saw the TRD ones, but for $120 after shipping, it's still too much. Also without having it being able to clip on, I don't feel safe just using tape.

Post up some pics of them installed. Close up as well if you can as I would like to see how clean of a fit it is.

If you do install them try to get a hold of 3m Adhesion Promoter #06396 for 3m attachment tape. They come in single wipes and when done correctly will make a much nicer bond. Just remember to wear gloves as the stuff it quite sticky and hard to get off your skin.

These are the knock-offs. TRD makes them in Carbon Fiber and ABS Plastic. I have the Carbon Version and the ABS Version is available in White, Black, Red and Unpainted.

I like the knock-offs because they look to have a similar texture of different parts of our vehicle.

You can see the real deal here - http://trdparts.jp/conceptcar/86_per...line/aero.html

I'd go with the TRD ABS ones for ~$240, which I have but still need to paint (satin black):

Word. I would have to think a lot more if I had the ABS and CF versions to choose from when I purchased. I'm very fond of the ABS, painted, clean look. But real deal CF OEM parts makes me giggle like a little school girl.
