GT6 on PS3

I'm torn on whether or not I want to buy this GT game. I have played or owned every other GT however I am not nearly as motivated to buy this one as I have in the past. It just seems like there isnt much reason to get it.

If someone can convince me otherwise then be my guest. Im tempted to skip this one and just wait patiently for a completely new ps4 game (GT7?)

Don't have time today to grab mine but I'll go tomorrow. I pre-prdered and got the limited edition.

From the reviews, I read this GT6 is MUCH better than GT5 and graphics are top notch for an "old" system.

Another thing is - for people who do not have PS4, this will be a good buy...and i feel even if you do have a PS4, this will hold us over for a year or so before GT7 comes out.

I will be buying this. I will be playing this for the next 2 years.

Looking forward to the 220+ Nissan special edition cars I'm sure they put in the game

I will buy it if they can make the MKIV Supra sound like it does in real life. And make the turbos sound realistic as well. Otherwise, not buying it.

reading reviews, looks like its what GT5 should have been. (aka gt5.5). but its not a big enough improvement to be considered a successor being given a title as GT6.

Pre-ordered anniversary edition & was hoping for a midnight release Lol; that didn't happen & now I'm stuck at work for a few more hours. I have my rig setup at home, ready and waiting =p

the hollow sound design and poor implementation of damage (at least ashetically) still seems to carry over from gt5.

the two elements that always remind me that this is a game that makes the cars feel like bumper cars.

Installing my copy now. Got the G27 setup. :D

The FRS sound is correct at idle...sounds like a blender at higher RPMs.

I have the gamestop version on the way, with the exclusive 25 car anniversary pack.

Just waiting for a buddy to fix the "red light of death" on my PS3 and I'll be getting GT6 shortly thereafter.

It was always fun telling fellow racers online I was actually driving my car in real life. I will look for or create an FT86 room when online.

its pretty fun so far. they do a good job making the game a little more of a grind. the most frustrating thing about the last couple installments is that you are just given too much money in the beginning so you end up driving race prepped supercars within the hour. ive already got golds on the first two license tests and have finished the novice and b lic series and i still feel motivated to save up for the next big mod.

Wow...you even can see the interior of the car shake like the real thing. Waiting for the crickets.

I hate realistic racing games, mostly because I'm terrible at using the brakes and I really suck at them. But I kind of want this one just for the FR-S.

So. You can get the GT86 wing on the Scion, but not the Scion on the Scion. Odd. No TRD duckbill in sight. No Nur Spec. The GT86 only seems to come in RHD as the Asian version, whereas the Scion seems to serve as the LHD only one. Haven't touched the BRZ yet. There's what appears to be a white 86 on steelies, but it's NOT the TRD one. Power appears to be the same.

There are by my count 12 86s in the game:

Remember, you don't use the hyphens when you enter the code, or the spaces. Just enter all the characters.

If your code doesn't work in the PS store, you have to go to 'Account Management' on the XMB -> Redeem Code

So there's no TRD Racing 86(Griffon Concept) from what i've seen, bummer :/
Other than the car i was really hoping for, this game is great and i love how the Frs & 86 15th anv. drive. Its a great improvement over Gt5. Now i can't wait to get Gt7! But I really hope they stop with the copy and paste cars from Gt3 and make all cars premium. It just really annoys me. This is one advantage Forza offers. But other than that it's been fun and well worth it.

Classic GT logic here. Put 1200 cars in the game. Make sure 20-50 of each model are present! You can never have enough Silvias and Skylines.

I bought the game. It's certainly fun wiht the right car and the 86 is well represented, but I should have rented it first.

I like using cockpit view and some of the "non premium" cars have completely blacked out cockpits (Civic EK in my case). It's jarring and stupid to look at. It's obvious the game was rushed to be released as close to the PS4 launch as possible.

Paint chip colors need work too. Some hues show up different while in the paint selection menu, but when you actually paint your wheels or car, they are exactly the same color.

There are also a bunch of other graphical annoyances I won't even get into.

Wasn't worth $60 at all.

The game isn't finished (as said before) but I'm still enjoying it. I think the next two patches will clean up things (particularly graphics/texture issues) nicely. It was clear that it was rushed as several features won't be available until a future patch (datalogging, etc.)...

It's not as good as I hoped but I enjoy racing games nonetheless. I give it a thumbs up because it's still fun to play
