I got my factory scion spoiler for around $400 and i think the 5AD lip spoiler is around there but if your wanting the rocket bunny spoiler or something like that yeah its going to be a bit more

If you want subtle. The 5 Axis spoiler fits the bill. Pleased with mine.

hegreer1 12-05-2013 01:46 PM

Ive got the 5AD lip and love it. I think it really adds a lot to the car but is still very subtle.

ZVsFR-S 12-05-2013 01:47 PM

I really like my Scion spoiler but when it comes to washing the car or leaves being in annoying places I really wish I would have gotten the 5AD lip spoiler

vividracing 12-05-2013 01:51 PM

What style are you looking for? If it's a unique decklid style, then I can get a lot from Japan. They are small enough for EMS delivery so shipping won't kill the deal.

nab335 12-05-2013 02:25 PM

2k huh? Are you talking about those voltex/apr gt style wings? Not sure if it fits your taste but look into the big country labs wing. I'm patiently waiting to get one once they release one for our car.:D

TheLaughingMan 12-05-2013 02:30 PM

Subbed

Also, it really seems like bigger wings are coming back? At least for the 86 they are?

I know before they used to be considered "rice" ... then again you'd typically see a Civic with a can and a huge spoiler on a FWD car

kALMIGHTY 12-05-2013 02:30 PM

Or you can try and get your hands on a GTR wing and retrofit it onto your car like this person did.

They're still technically considered rice to most of the crowd probably. But theres a big difference between those ricer wing back in the day imo compared to the gt wings we see s2ks, miatas, wrxs running nowadays.

theres these:

then these:

I'm a sucker for that track/trance/drift look

vividracing 12-05-2013 02:46 PM

Is it this one? I can get it. Don't want to thread jack so PM me with your shipping address and I can contact my guys in Japan for an estimate.

The FR-S/BRZ has revived the ricer all by itself. F and F didn't help, either. Hopefully OP won't do his part to carry it on. Love GITS, but more of an Appleseed fan!

True. They look even stupider today, especially on a good looking car. Or what used to be one, anyway. Note that I'm talking about bolted-on crap on street car, not a wing that serves an actual purpose on a track car.

FRSfan111 12-06-2013 12:28 AM

But then u have to decide where to draw the line. I actually do race/HPDE on a track. But I also dd my FRS. If I were to rock a GT wing is it rice? Or functional?

Food for thought.

The rocket bunny v2 wing by itself is like $600 if that's the style you want

Obviously functional. You can delivery tofu much faster with those.

Aero stabilizing fins. I'd get them but they're so damn expensive for little things of plastic. :mad0260:

I'm kinda looking for something much bigger than the stock but that kinda style. Call me rice but something that people stop and look at and go "whoa"

This is sexy, Kinda the style I'm looking at. I'm not a big fan of lip spoilers.

vividracing 12-06-2013 12:27 PM

I'll see what kind of deal I can get on Seibon GT wings for you.

If anyone is interested in the Leg Motorsports Deck Spoiler, I put it up in the Classified section.

That doesn't look bad at all, reminds me of the R-Magic spoiler, though I guess it doesn't cover the bolt holes for limited breezy owners...

I actually like the GTR one more. Not a big fan of the R-Magic spoiler following the trunk down at the sides. But they do look similar.

logoris 12-06-2013 10:51 PM

if you would like the down force but dont want extra weight, look into the seibon cls trunk, or if you need adjustment then i would say look into a GT wing. if you want looks i would say either the scion or 86/brz wing

Or the VIS Racing AMS carbonfiber trunk for a bit more noticeable lip.

Is the BRZ Limited spoiler actually bolted down? I always thought it was just stickied on, but I've never actually looked...

Wolfking 12-08-2013 07:31 PM

Aero Jacket's carbon or f-glass, gets my vote and the price is in your/our range. Carsmo has a similar spoiler as well.

Kiske 12-09-2013 12:35 AM

One of the cool things about the GTR spoiler if you can change the height. HKS has a high-mount kit! But, by the time you buy an OEM spoiler, the HKS kit and pay shipping you'd have just under $1600.00 into it... -_-

Clint520 12-09-2013 12:36 AM

Are there any vendors stateside that can get their hands on the Wald spoiler?

vividracing 12-09-2013 12:36 AM

Ooh, this one is sexy. I wonder if I can get my hands on this.
