New spoiler, need advice!
Still debating on whether or not to get it colormatched or get it colormatched, your inputs are valued and thanks for your time ft86club
Apparently I am a terrible photographer and couldn't get a good angle (straight on from the back) http://i.cubeupload.com/2B507T.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/LAROYr.jpg The fitment is obviously off as I just threw it on there to take pictures :) |
interesting, id say paint it. looks cheap if its unfinished imo.

I think it would look much better matched to the car....unless it was carbon fiber
|
Here's two opinions.
My Father: Color match it. It looks cheap even if painted black on a white car. My opinion: I like the white and black theme. Kind of what we called the "Storm Trooper" look in the Silverado's that did the white truck and black flares and such. |

I'd say color match. It looks plasticy by itself. I'd may leave it bare if it was CF, but Im not a huge fan of bare plastics. Post pics when you finish it! If you decide to!

I want to colormatch it but I've only seen pictures of this style spoiler painted black.... Scared I'll hate it color matched... |
Paint it dude! Leave it clean, it's gonna be the better look if you ask me.

No decision yet, I'll do it on the spot when I get to the bodyshop :lol::lol::lol: |
White is better. Mismatched panels looks tacky.
I personally prefer color matched over carbon fiber. Having a gloss black spoiler on a white car would just be blehh to me |

With a white spoiler, you can continue to do any theme you want and it won't look out of place. |
i'd go white
unless you got a black trunk and roof to go with the black |
Interested in post-paint pictures whichever way you decide!

If you've blacked-out your windows and wheels, go with black. :-)
|
I'm leaning heavily towards a semi-gloss black, kind of like the wheels I am running, something with a tiny bit more shine than a flat-black, I think the accenting would be lost if I colormatched...
|
|
i say rattle can that baby black, u can always paint it to match if u dont like it, paint to match will cost u more then a rattle can of gloss
|
Match it, IMO it will looked tacked on and abit gawdy if it's black. Each to their own 100% I'd color match it though
|
Color match, will be tacky black unless carbon fiber

Color match for sure. Your spoiler is bulkier looking compared to the original Abflug one, so it's gonna look like you just slapped on an unpainted spoiler on your car if it's black.
|
if you have 10 bucks buy a can of white plasti dip. just lay the spoiler on your car unpainted (since its kinda black i would assume) take a pic. then plasti dip it white and take a pic. these should give you a rough idea of what the final decision can look like.

In white...
|
much appreciated :D
|
I like white, just for clean look. Unless you got carbon fibre option.
|
color match all the way. I always feel like the black spoilers on non black cars looks like you couldn't afford to do it right…even if it IS done right just in black, lol
|
I like this spoiler. Interested to know fit and finish.
|
i'd go color match as well
