A little review on M7 T-Titan catback
 

Good morning all,

I just thought that I would write a short review on M7 T-Titan catback I bought a while ago. (Was enjoying the new exhaust note too much and I even forgot WHEN I bought it hahah)

Anyways, long story short- I am absolutely in love with M7 T-Titan.

As much as I love my WRB BRZ, the look, sound, not to mention the quality welds all have become another thing to look at after my BRZ is cleaned.

I haven't driven any other FR-S/BRZs with different catbacks so I can't tell you guys how different it is from other similar-sounding catbacks but I can tell you this:

BRZ/FR-S have rather a noisy cabin from the beginning and I don't mind it.
And when I installed M7 T-Titan (Thanks to Prime Motoring in East Rutherford, NJ for installation :D), cabin noise (should put it as "note") has gone up a notch.

Good thing about the catback is, however, it only growls when you step on the gas. (Not that the noise annoys me when I'm not stepping on the gas :bellyroll:) I love to step on the gas and let the car cruise because as soon as I let off the gas I'm hearing this slight "du-du-du-du" rumble as if it had an UEL header!! :bow:

I do not have a good recording device at the moment, but when I can, I will see if I can upload a video or two just to show you guys how it sounds.

Lastly, thanks to Source Total Performance! These guys are based in Illinois but shipped as soon as they got my payment and included lots of free goodies along with products I bought from them. Not to mention they offered me an amazing price you won't find from any other M7 vendors. :party0030:

Weird seeing the BRZ without the oem wing! I kinda like it though! And nice exhaust, definitely try to get a video up

After a long run-down list I do have Voltex GT 2 wing in my mind.. and I just put on winter tires so I'll hold off of getting anything for a while :)

How will this sound with uncatted UEL headers? Probably pretty loud huh?

With my uncatted el header it's insane and I don't have a front pipe or over pipe. Next week I will get that stuff and make some vids

Looks like I'll stick with the Q300 then. That M7 is beautiful but I want to keep my system quiet. JDL catless UEL>JDL OP>JDL catted FP>Q300. From what I've heard that should be pretty solid and not too loud.

Tomei ones (forgot which model it was) kind of have similar sound to M7. And when they are paired with JDL UEL it sounds too raspy and crappy. (Not my style)

If I were to go for a JDL UEL header, I'd sell my M7 and get Perrin's which sounds nice..

I think M7 alone sounds pretty amazing by itself, but with UEL it gets nasty lol

M7 and and EL, however, would sound pretty good.. I think :thumbsup:

I'm getting an UEL header in the future, idgaf lol. I need the rumble. I might just take the M7's midpipe and take it into a muffler shop to have it modified- adding a resonator to it. I'm positive that if a resonator is added, a lot of the raspiness will go away and a lot more deep-bass-iness will come about. Hopefully this'll be similar to the Invidia N1. If everything doesn't go as planned, I'll just sell the M7 and get an N1 lol.

It's a bit raspy honestly but has a nice deep note just in high rpms it rasps out. I really don't care as much as others I just want it to flow well and be loud so I am happy lol. I got the invidia over pipe and resonated front pipe coming on next. Then I will decide if Its "too much" for me lol. I like my car loud as fuck and don't think I will change much unless its unbearably raspy :burnrubber:

Wait do you have a JDL UEL with your M7 catback??? Damn!! hahah
Mind uploading a video of yours? I wanna see how it actually sounds like.. because after I got my M7 for a while I had a chance to see JDL UEL and it sounds.............amazing. :cheers:

Or sell M7, get Perrin's and JDL UEL <3

Somebody has to upload a sound clip of an UEL + M7... like ASAP. I've seen a YouTube video of someone pairing up a Revworks UEL to a M7 before, it sounded slightly raspy haha. Though with this said, the quality of the entire video was crappy; it looked like it was shot through a potatoe

Nah I won't sell my m7 I love my car and the setup if anything I might buy a new catback down the road to mix and match. I am really happy with my buddy club el header the car has a more even torque curve because of the header and the oft.
