MY GF's FRS confirmed for last week of May or first week of June
 

My girl friend was called by by the sales manager to confirm that her red manual FRS is going to be in last week of May or first week of June. We are going down on friday to ad $2k more to our $500 down. I just hope my credit rating is still decent. :)

I am not 2 wiped considering the list of cars I have. I think that I am lucky that I am with a woman who does not want a 2005 6 cylinder mustang, and is not going for an auto. And when your first date is at a American Le Mans race and she threatened to leave me if I did not supercharge my Celica, I would tend to say I have a keeper. :wub:

the 12-city tour does looks exciting.... never seen 1 in person, only on pics and what the forums provide.... and i know at least half or more on here haven't seen one.... so i would contact the dealer ask more about this

And its comes with synthetic oil that's a 21 century idea!
I'm happy about that ,I was gonna change to synthetic anyway after like 1000 miles brake in and I change oil at 3000 regardless what manual says, plus like two times before reach 1000 miles brake in

is the dealer gonna install a paint protection film? is that like a clear bra? might be worth getting it done at the dealer vs a body shop

I can tell you that at least the red one we saw at the 1st86 event had the film on it. It's basically a clear bra. Had a Scion logo on the corner (probably about a half inch in size) that I first thought was a paint bubble. It covered the front bumper and wrapped around to the wheel wells. there was a separate one that ran about two feet onto the hood.

Only problem with it I saw (and this is probably common to all of them) dust gathered at the edge of the one on the hood making it stand out a bit. Once I saw it, it was hard to not see it.

With me getting the black, I dont care about that, it will make that pretty black paint last longer (keep from having swirls and such)

I can confirm this as well. My old Service manager along with sales management said they will be getting first shipment of FR-S's at the end of May. And the 5Axis kit WILL be a day 1 option. But they haven't heard a thing on the TRD kits.

That is sick. It would be sweet to roll outta the dealership in a kitted car, assuming you could add the wheels and TRD lowering springs right off the bat, too.

I just got some sweet news from my dealer. He also says last week of may, first week of june at the latest that the cars should be arriving on the lot. I inquired about what my place on the list was (and this was the best part) and he told me that I was second!!! Only guy ahead of me is one of the 1st 86ers!! I'm soooooo stoked! I never inquired as to my place on the list when I put the deposit down (stupid me I know) but I'm so happy to have found this out!! ~5-6 weeks and counting! I'm so excited!!!!!

I know a lot of the guys that at the dealer i did work there for a while. But from what the parts guys have said they have NO time line when they would start seeing TRD parts come in. But IDK if that just with my dealer?

When I went to the dealer three weeks ago, I was chatting up the salesman that said I could absolutely put down a deposit, just just had to get the sales manager to ok it, and the manager was trying to talk me out of leaving a deposit.... Glad I didn't listen to him!

Which dealership? You in SF, East, South, or outside of the immediate bay? I'm gonna hit up mine today and see if they have any updates.

She sounds like a keeper, though! My current g/f drives a manual Impreza Outback, and she loves my cars. She wants to come autocrossing soon, and hopefully I can talk her into a sportier car someday - she likes the Mini Cooper.

Car's gonna to be in my name so u will have no crying from me! She is just going to be on my loan so we can try for the student rebate.

The dealer is in Vallejo ca.

And yes I get to drive the car. But I have plenty of other cars to keep me having fun.
The frs is going to be an upgrade for her from a Cali edition VW Jetta 170Hp
I will try to have as little influence on what she does to it as I can, but I dont think pink neon lights are gonna look to good on a red car, so I may try to keep her from doing that.
