Netflix movies

O.K., I need some recommendations. My wife and her traveling buddy will be out of town for the next two weeks and I need some good recommendations for movies to order from Netflix. When my wife is at home we watch pretty mild stuff. To give you an idea what I'm looking for, my favorite game is DOOM and movies like Machete crack me up.

What do you say?

Muskokan 11-04-2013 09:45 AM

Start watching sons of anarchy if you haven't already,
Apologies in advance for the days you'll spend watching non stop.

whaap 11-04-2013 09:47 AM

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

Muskokan 11-04-2013 09:50 AM

Also if your a fan of doom, watch the firefly series, it's only got one season (fox killed it despite fans kicking and screaming), then watch the movie serenity, the sequel to the series, awesome movie! The series was good, but the movie is damn good.

Green recommended.

+1 for fapping

Ramster 11-04-2013 03:19 PM

Senna

Steve201brz 11-04-2013 04:41 PM

Trailer Park Boys. Perfect for solo watching cause it's stupid/hilarious/vulgar.
Boondock Saints & The Big Lebowski are great movies to kick back with a beer to

Shagaliscious 11-04-2013 04:50 PM

Grindhouse. It's 2 movies, Planet Terror & Death Proof. Both movies are entertaining, and I would say somewhat similar to Machete.

Shoot 'em up. It's a great action comedy. The Last Boy Scout, another great action comedy.

Other movies that you might enjoy. Snatch, Layer Cake, True Romance.

Muskokan 11-04-2013 08:14 PM

+1 for end of watch!

Most intense action cop movie I think I've ever seen, not for the faint of heart. So if your girl is squimesh then now would be the time to watch it!

hattorihanzo 11-04-2013 10:00 PM

The man from nowhere
13 Assassins

Alot of great stuff on netflix

bestwheelbase 11-05-2013 02:58 PM

Lots of television series recommendations instead of actual movies! Haha.

@whaap check these out. They're all fucking great and represent diverse genres:

Chinatown. Mystery/Thriller starring a young Jack Nicholson.
Akira Kurosawa's Dreams. Foreign.
The Last Waltz. Music.

The TV Series are where I get sucked in because I'll have them on while doing something else.

Over the past year I've rewatched the entire Top Gear UK series, Initial D, and have been watching Adam 12 (I mean its so Jack Webb it's cool).

Also just for grins with my son recently watched the pilot episodes of Knight Rider. There is one scene where you can see the guy in the "seat suit" driving the car. When the car pulls up to The Hoff, you can see the guys hands move off the steering wheel. I guess that's the problem with old shows formatted for 19" screens being shown on a 70" one. Stuff that got by editing just doesn't fly any more!

Definitely on Netflix, watched it last night, if you liked the trailer you'll like the movie, not much more to the movie than that.
