Sad to see her go ...

It's almost time to but the frs to sleep for the winter :) hate the fact that I have too but I don't live live in sunny florida  : and I I couldn't live with with the look of the stock or winter rims. . So now now I can plan on on what type of FI I I am going going to go go with.

SkitterSkotter 11-02-2013 11:58 PM

Spend the winter buying unpainted and cheap body parts and work on them them yourself so when your car emerges it will look like one of those mag cover cars.

humfrz 11-03-2013 12:22 AM

But just think how much fun you will have ...... come spring thaw ....:)

Thanks for putting yourself and the people you share the road with in danger. Use winter tires.

Talk to someone, it helps when you're having suicidal thoughts such as these.

Yes.

kALMIGHTY 11-03-2013 08:44 PM

Calgary snow (much worse than Brampton by the way) with stock wheels and winter tires on them. You're missing out on so much fun. :)

lickitysplit 11-03-2013 10:03 PM

I have no idea what you are talking about.

I can't read.

cycleboy 11-03-2013 10:16 PM

I'm hoping we get some actual rain here in SoCal! We need it, and there's no "winter" so it's just fun season for the FR-S!

Fallen43 11-03-2013 10:24 PM

Yes rain and the FRS equals much fun :) enjoy it ...

Was just lamenting the same thing over the weekend...time to put the BRZ under cover for winter. Drove by a decent trans-am for sale and stopped to have a peek...wondering if I just need a winter fun car to ease the pain. :party0030:

all joking aside, if you think that driving this car with stock tires in any kind of snow is a good idea then you are an idiot. at best you are going to destroy the car in an accident, at worst you are going to get yourself or someone else killed.

get winter tires or dont drive it.

more on topic, get winter tires and drive it! so much fun.

dnieves 11-07-2013 10:56 PM

two things about putting the twins away for the winter:

1. Mitigate the risk of some idiot sliding into your twin -body work and diminishing resale value.

2. Damage from salt -who's really going to hose the underbody to remove corrosive salt when it's freezing outside? Not everybody has panels or undercoating to protect their baby's belly from chunks or ice, salt, and rust.

I know it's a waste of insurance money (and car payments) paying for a car to sit in the driveway for the next few months but accidents and rust suck.

I'm sure he, and myself, would put our cars away for winter but if he's in the same position as me where you either can't afford to get a winter car or find it hard to buy something you don't want/need year round then it's kinda hard to. I'm going to search CL for winter tires like someone suggested to me and put some weight in the back. It's all I can do :/

**Totally quoted the wrong person..

jazztennor 11-09-2013 12:36 PM

Well its nice and sunny here!!!!!!!!!! IN MIAMI!!!!!!!

Optimus Prime 11-09-2013 01:11 PM

Same situation here. Today is the last hurrah. Running some errands then home for a final wash before the cover goes on. Yes I know. Covers are bad.

As someone else said...#FirstWorldProblems

mpicher 11-10-2013 08:18 AM

I run mine until it snows enough for them to do something to the roads (it did spit a little Friday). It's not the snow that hurts things, it's the salt / calcium chloride / sand.

ekaj 12-24-2013 04:40 AM
