That pic they posted is close to truth as my photochop hatch I did while back. Take it as grain of salt

Chances are, if there is a sedan version being considered at all, it'll be for the next model cycle, and the current concept is just Toyota seeing if the platform could handle the upgrade objectively and subjectively with or without various upgrades and allows them to test the marketplace waters. |
Yes please. Aston Martin, Maserati, Porsche 911. These are sports cars that the "everyman" cannot afford. The FRS is. These cars have 4 door versions of their sports cars. I think Toyota would be smart to offer one as well. I personally think the Aston and the Maserati look outstanding.

If that pic was a production car, I would be all in....way sexier than my Camry lol!

I think you should buy a passat. That's an affordable European sedan. |
Actually it would be kinda cool if they reused one of the discarded FT86 concepts as the basis of the Sedan's styling.
And the hatch chop looks quite good - a bit more bloated than Ichi's, but I like how the C pillar terminates (maintains the coupe's window shape) |

Tetsuya always had the idea of this being an expansion platform. I don't think this ever was a "one off" design. The FRS that you know today is just the primary offering. They already mentioned a desire to expand the line in the same way Mini has and in the same way Fiat has. quoted from article: Quote:
And because I  haters.... More 4 door versions of great coupes: http://images.thecarconnection.com/m...00027007_m.jpg http://carster.info/images/car_catal...m3-sedan_3.jpg http://o.aolcdn.com/commerce/images/OOINGEC2_Large.JPG http://www.gayot.com/images/auto/lam...que/review.jpg And finally, a sedan and coupe in 1!!! wait what? Coupe/Sedan? Coudan? Sedoupe? http://www.motorward.com/wp-content/...-mazda-RX8.jpg |

At the bottom of the article above is another link that basically says, "Ugm, never mind".
"News of the car’s sudden arrival hit over the weekend with a post on the Dubai Motor Show’s official Facebook page. Sadly, the show (which opens today) will come and go with no such vehicle. “We absolutely have no plans for a sedan concept at the Dubai Motor Show,” said Toyota Europe PR rep Danny Chen. Careful to pick his words, Chen did not deny the existence or plans to debut a four-door GT86 some day, but most certainly not at the Dubai show. That leaves open the possibility that rumors of a sedan version of the car could come true." |
Update: Toyota Motor Company in Japan responded to motoring.com.au's requests for clarification, stating "No such car will be appearing in Dubai". The company also asserted that "no such four-door car exists"."

Yep, went to the show today, no sedan version.
Only FT-86 open was there. Not really digging it though, interior material finishing not as good as in pictures, but maybe they will fix it if it goes to production. And they should have just delete the rear seat. http://imageshack.us/a/img585/8121/4lu4.th.jpg Other interesting car was the LF-LC concept car. http://imageshack.us/a/img819/4912/orqb.th.jpg In my opinion the star of the show is the 4C. Went inside the car and I really like it! Now let's see how much I can get for one of my kidneys to buy this car. http://imageshack.us/a/img201/4125/qy5o.th.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img191/1117/wv1h.th.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img35/8903/5amw.th.jpg |

Reminds my of an Opel GT or a BMW Z4 Coupe...without the terrifying proposition of maintenance on either of those cars. IONO what you do for a living...but if you are CG or designing cars...you missed a great opportunity. |
