Starting Up- Cosmetic Mods
Whats up guys, I recently got my scion fr-s like 3 months ago and i'm extremely interested in adding kits and changing parts to my car. My knowledge for parts is kinda low so i'm in need of some help (just slight tips or helpful things to learn) plus i'm young so i'm just starting.
What i want: TRD body kit Perrin Performance 3" catback exhaust Avante garde m310 18x9.0 +30 black rims Valenti Red/chrome tail lights LED headlights (don't know any specifics yet) I have several questions if anyone can help out: I was wondering if there are any quad tip exhausts other then the trd one because it's overpriced (imo) and i don't like the sound. Also i was wondering if there are any interior led lights for the fr-s (I'm sure there are but i haven't really seen any.) Thanks in advance  |

For quad tips^ For led interior lights do a search here on the forums. There are a bunch of vendors offering interior kits. |

Google search is your friend. Try using key words there are alot of helpful threads that usually exist before you post and some people on the forums may flame you for not searching. Try adding ft86.com after the key words on Google

don't waste your time with 'led headlights'.. the kits they sell are an absolute joke in output.

I think the J2 Exhaust is quad tip.
If you're going with OEM TRD kit, it'll run you around $1500 before shipping. But there are many replicas, some ABS material ones on ebay for $300. But obviously, you'll get what you pay for. |

from a quality shop, upwards of $500. I'm sure you could find budget shops for like $300-$400. but you usually get what you pay for.

My advice. Wheels and tired and a set of nice coil changes the appearance quiet a bit.

Just to spread the words. A massive GB is going for Valenti tail lamps.

hid kits can put more light on the road, where a retrofit and a hid kit make the best use of all that extra light.. Quote:
instead, check out these bulbs(beware-- not the exact model you might need)-- i've run them for a while on my last car until i re-did all my lighting, and was very happy with them [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-SilverStar-27-Watt-Performance-Signal/dp/B000AMADZA"]Sylvania 1157A ST BP SilverStar 27-Watt High Performance Signal Light : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame] they appear a blueish-chrome when off, but illuminate yellow for both parking and turn signal. so they are completely legal to use, and a heck of a lot better than any pnp led bulb, with the exception of vled's v3 triton bulb(i like the bulb, but hate the company)-- it's the only pnp led bulb i'd ever recommend running... but the triton is close to $100/pr, and vleds can't tell anyone an honest shipping date, so purchasing is more of a lottery than an outright sale... |
