What kind of deal did you get?

So after recently purchasing my new car, I was just wondering, what kind of deal did you guys make on your car? Due to this Scion pure pricing thing I understand there actually isn't much room to haggle. So what type of deals did you guys get? I'll start it off

Ummm.... I hope that's a typo

$472 for 84 months is over $39.5K! Did they at least give you a complimentary lubbing before raping you?

Damn jelly of those APRs :[

The College Grad rebate could only get my 4%. They tried some BS telling me that I would be getting a 10% APR with the rebate because the low tier APR was only available for customers with either no credit or completely new credit. I stood there shaking my head saying, "So you mean to tell me that people with less than a year of credit can get an APR 6% better than myself who has 5 years of decent credit?"

After a short pause and some head scratching from the financing guy, I told them that I didn't need this car and it was just going to be a reward to myself and started to walk off. You wouldn't believe how fast that guy scrambled over to me shouting "I CAN DO 4%".

Ammonia 10-19-2013 07:39 PM

Bought mine for 23k. I'm a manager at a dealership though so I just called the Toyota dealer across town and told their used car manager to wholesale me their "used" FRS. Perks of being in the business lol.

$320-mo/36 months/36000 miles taxes and first month included

AznKirby 10-20-2013 05:43 PM

They've been giving 1500$ cash incentives here to buy the 2013 brz.
Not much difference between the 2013 and 2013, and a lower interest rate too!
Might jump on that soon. Still debating.

Paid MSRP + TTL on a 2013 MT whiteout FR-S (no options, no extra warranties, no service plans, 6% tax).

Worth every penny though. :)

Edited to add more information. Also got 0% financing on $10k for 36 mo. through TFS. Paid the remainder as a downpayment

DMDominator 10-30-2013 07:17 PM

'13 Firestorm FR-S
Automatic (Drove manual for 13 years, but the story of how I was forced into AT is a family dispute over a medical condition I have. Somehow driving AT makes everything fine with them for some reason, lol. Probably shouldn't be allowed to drive period. Seizure disorder.)
110 miles
$27,838 before tax, title, warranty ($30,894 after)
No loan- paid cash (with a check, lol)
Scion "Pure Pricing" the whole way and they wouldn't order a '14 Firestorm for me. Live in the sticks and the next dealership is over an hour away. No Subaru dealerships to speak of as an alternative.

That could be anywhere from $26k to $33k depending on how you define 'MSRP' (options, warranties, service package etc.) and how high your taxes are.

$27.8k out the door, MT, Asphalt, no add ons, California taxes.

driftagoon 10-30-2013 07:30 PM

2013 Asphalt FR-S 6MT, 9 miles!
Guess I paid the scion pure picing + cost for the spoiler and TRD exhaust - $500 (College grad rebate)
Down payment: $3k
Interest rate: 3.15%
for 60 months.

Think I got the same thing but I acted tough right from the beginning-over phone calls (because the nearest dealership was 150 miles away from where I lived then) and with a little negotiation I was offered 3.15%!

Good point. Edited my original post.

Manic 10-30-2013 07:47 PM

I actually got a stroke of good fortune. Because I had submitted my loan applicated at the dealership on a friday night, they couldn't get direct approval right then and there. They told me that they could get me at least 4%, and if not, I could bring the car back no problem.

They called me in the next monday, turns out they could get me 2.75%. I was surprised that they even bothered telling me that, but the guy I was working with was a genuinely cool dude.
