HELP: Tail Lights - Valenti's or Spyder's?

So guys, I absolutely cannot decide which aftermarket tail lights I should go with. I've narrowed it down to at least either the Spyder LED's or the Valenti's, but now I'm stuck at trying to decide on whether I want smoked or red lenses.

This decision has been eating me alive for the better part of two weeks or so, as I really love the look of smoked AND red from both manufacturers. I'd really appreciate all of your guys' opinions. Thanks!

You need a drop a lot more than you need tail lights.

They look pretty sick on yours, still not sure if I'm sold yet though. Kinda worried how the red lenses would turn out on a Raven. :(

Really sweet ride you got though man.

:word: I've actually got a set of Eibach R1's in the garage right now, just waiting to accumulate a bunch of mods to throw them all on at the same time.

That's good, cuz triplets don't leave each other off roading.

As far as the taillights go, if you go smoked, it may be too much, but red may stand out. There is a smoked red which would be the best of both worlds. So get whatever taillight in red, then slightly smoke it.

Do the Valentis so the group buy can get cheaper :)

Haha, I saw that group buy and thought about getting in on it. Pretty sweet deal for them. Buuuuuut, I think I might be getting either the smoked or the reddened Crystal Eyes (not sure which really), and I can get them from japanparts.com for $350, which isn't too far off the group buy price for the Valentis.

I went with the smoked Valentis for my Asphalt and couldn't be happier. I've gotten many compliments and unlike the Colins I had previously, the Valentis are visible in daylight.

Red crystal eyes. Looks great on a dark car. Check out my build. Ps nice wheels. We match.

Remember to add freight if you plan to purchase from japanparts.com

Ahhh geeze. I'm completely sold on the red lenses. :happyanim: Looks siiiick. Also, how difficult of an install were those fog lights, and how do they turn on? With the headlights? They look really good. :w00t:

raul 10-21-2013 07:58 AM

Stay away from Crystal eyes, they still have condensation problems. I haven't seen any Spyder or Toms condensate yet.

Yeah, red looks great. In my opinion. Smoked or blacked out tails only look good on lighter color cars. The fog lights were easy to install. It was just getting the harness and switch to work. That was a pain.

This is a huge bummer if it's a 100% thing for the Crystal Eyes :(. Anyone have any experiences with them that can confirm/debunk that statement? (Not that I don't believe you, just wanna be sure.) Also, is there perhaps a DIY fix or anything for the condensation? Thanks!

I've seen some in person as well. There's only 2 that have posted on the forum. I saw condensation at the Southeast Megameet that took place Oct 13th.

Mine don't and I'm in the nw. Moister everywhere around here.

pansontw 10-24-2013 02:54 AM

According to my experience, manufacturer won't change the design considering the plastic injection molds are being developed already. (molds are expensive) All they can do is apply more glue to better seal the lamps.

IMO, this might be quality issue.
