My name is Philip "FLiP" . I was recently promoted to the state head of Alabama for the Southeast 86 Club. Look for us on Facebook. I'm posting this to hear from all my fellow 86ers in Alabama. Tyler here :0) whiteout mt frs with full exhaust and a few other mods. all about meeting other local folks and as mentioned in several other threads started up ft86se.com for us southeastern folks. when i actually have free time from work and other projects im always down for meeting up and planning events with fellow car enthusiasts :)

Hello,

My name is Jason and I'm in Warrior (North of B'ham). I've had my Whiteout FR-S for a little over a year now. It started as our third vehicle, used only for weekend trips to the mountains and autocross but has become the daily driver.

I'm an older guy with family etc so not much for meets but I do autocross. Started autoxing with ALSCCA last year and try not to miss an event. There are about 3 other FR-S owners that come to events and I believe they are on these forums. Any questions about getting started just let me know and I'll help if I can.

Check my garage for info on my car. Always willing to help the locals with info/etc if possible.

Name is Danny. 22 and live down in Foley. Have had the car only for a couple months traded a lifted Silverado for this car. For now the car is stock.

I went from a Tacoma pre runner and it was big difference for me. I can only imagine the transition for you was odd being so close to the ground.

Haha yeah. I went from a truck I had to climb up to get in, to a car I pretty much fall in to get in. I notice it more when I try to get out of this car than anything.

Though going to the gas station every 10 days instead of 3. Paying $30 instead of $60 is well worth it. I was only getting 9mpg at best in that truck

Recently picked up my BRZ and am in Mobile, AL.

Since I'm new to the gulf coast, does anyone have any suggestions for some fantastic roads to enjoy near Mobile? I just moved her this summer so knowing all the awesome roads is unfortunately a problem at the moment!

I'm definitely looking forward to getting out of the break in period!

@cerealcable welcome to the area and to the 86 family!! Road wise, I have only found one that I feel comfortable driving a little spirited on. Starting from 227 in Spanish fort to HWY 59 and head up toward little rive and beyond. I really need to setup another cruise.

I know them directions make no sense to ya. Lol. I also suggest looking at motorcycle cruise route websites too. Some want you to pay to view. And there is hardly any worth while doing, routes that is.

It is up to you as modding is a personal thing. Personally I would save up for wheels and tires as I think the gains in performance and looks are much larger then you will ever see from the parts you listed.

I kinda echo tut's advice..its up to you, but I don't think you will see much of a performance gain from it all. This car seems to resist gaining notable power from intake and exhaust changes. I think you would notice a good difference with a tune...and wheels and tires would be a solid upgrade. But if you are going for style and sound..I haven't heard much of anything about the parts you mentioned

Only thing I change when I autox is the wheels and tires. Dunlop star specs 225-45/17 on a 17x7 wheel. As for power keep the rpm's up.

I know I haven't been to any of the meets lately, but come on Flip, you forget about me? haha
