FR-S on Fifth Gear Series 23 ep. 2

Not sure if this is a repost but Fifth Gear did another feature of the 86.

The first one was driven by Plato, now they pit it against a Renault.

No new info, but it is enjoyable to watch, especially when Tiff rings the heck out of it.

Adding power is a lot easier than going from FWD to RWD. If I was going to have a problem with a car at least it is one I can enjoy fixing!

Dadhawk 10-10-2013 05:00 PM

There was another thread on this here. I did enjoy it, particularly the shots of Vicki driving her's in a skirt. Not something you get to see on Top Gear....

kanundrum 10-10-2013 05:05 PM

to watch later

Hanni_0176 10-10-2013 05:18 PM

The traction turned itself off again, on again, on again... lol

EAGLE5 10-10-2013 05:42 PM

Yeah, she didn't drive that well this show. She does usually drive well, and her on a bad day is better than I will ever be.

Then again, Tiff drove relatively poorly, too. I mean he's world class, but he almost lost it on a corner, went off a bit, and didn't shift perfectly.

I think they were having too much fun.

:w00t: Good old Fifth gear, only wish Tom Ford is still one of the presenter....then I might like it more then topgear give or take.

Hawaiian 10-11-2013 02:24 AM

Was that a cheap top gear knock off i just watched? She also hit a cone on the slalom in all 3 runs she had for their first "contest".

You mean. Mr Stall Car? He was an embarrassment. He earned his firing.

Fifth Gear is basically what old Top Gear was like. Even some of the presenters from the original Top Gear are now on Fifth Gear. But I agree, it doesn't have the same production or entertainment value. Top Gear back in the 80's was nothing like Top Gear today.

Interesting episode. The only q that matters to me is which car is more fun to drive. I think the answer is clear.

solidONE 10-11-2013 11:01 AM

That's a good looking mazda 6.

FRSGeek 10-12-2013 03:08 PM

It was fun to watch.

DeepHunta 10-16-2013 04:25 PM

I didn't have access to it at the time I started this thread.
