So I know some members have been waiting for the DY-D5C from yoshihahra designs, well here it is. Specs: 18x9 35+ with 225/40/18 and yes oem lug nuts do fit them. best go tuner lugs though. Ordered mine last week hasn't came in so im stuck with these... Haven't Washed my car yet also. Pictures are crappy I'll take better ones once I paint them, lower it more, and camber it more. most credit goes too (thanks man) : @ebphoto (has s1r meisters http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17083 ) I had the similar idea but I couldnt afford those wheels lol. So i found yoshihara design was making a wheel similar. |
9 inches for less than ~170 whp? Hows the final weight on those?

its not like im gonna race it. and i have my oem 17 as my drift spares. weight wise, haven't weighed them in but they aren't light weight, but as light or lighter then your average mb wheels or xxrs. hope it helps. |
Nice ass setup. Any rubbing on the fronts?

Also 9inches is fine on the car, I know a few auto-x people that are doing just fine with 9.5s... |

A 5mm spacer will make a pretty big looks difference in the rear and you can use them with the stock studs.
|
Nice setup. I ordered my s1r's in the same spec. Don't put spacers in the back. Just tidy the camber up at the back and it'll look a lot better.

@Lanbaldo3 How much for a set? Can't find a price anywhere. The site just has "$" signs and discount tire doesn't list these wheels for sale.

i believe i got them total price was $850+ it was $205-215 a wheel. Also you have to call them and special order them. That's what i did when they announced that it was ready for sale. What they did for me was call Dai yoshihara design and ask for their part number and pricing and ordered them.

@Ndgreely i got them at my local Discount Tire shop/ America's Tires shop. You can call them and they'll order it for you.
|
Did you have to do any fender work at all for this setup? Also what are you lowered on? Looks great!
|
Awesome, would love these in 17", anyone know the weight? I can't find anything on these rims, look so much like SSR's.
|
What's the weight on these?

i feel conflicted saying these are reps because i think DY brand is legit.

Anyone have any idea what the weight on these is?
|
Hey guys, just spoke to an owner of these wheels. He said they weigh about 20lbs. Not sure how it was verified, but want to report out what I heard.
|
Looks good. But what's the point of adding more camber to a whee with such a high offset? It'll look weird with any more camber.
|
Any idea where I can order these from? Where did you guys order from?

Anyone with these able to get any pics of the clearance to the brake caliper?
|
They definitely look strikingly similar to SSR, hard to determine if it is considered a rep or not.
+1 on adding a small spacer in the back, especially if you are going to lower and add more camber |
