AWESOME event, Scion was great, and talking with Jack Hollis and the other 86ers was fantastic.

Everyone loved driving the FR-S, everyone who drove it was impressed with the smooth automatic, the interior is nice, steering wheel is comfortable, quick acceleration, had a few people try drifts, but they forgot to turn of traction control :broken heart: i have yet to talk to someone who didn't love driving the car, we all want to drive it more. thats what the FR-S does..leaves you wanting more.

Sport-Tech 04-07-2012 03:28 AM

Judging from that crowd, the average age of the FR-S buyer will be way north of 25, should be good for insurance rates!

Bristecom 04-07-2012 03:39 AM

Thanks for the pics! I was hoping somebody would do this for us. I've actually been to the Long Beach Grand Prix before. It was awesome.

bestwheelbase 04-07-2012 04:00 AM

I liked the IQ. For what it is it was a solid car. Feels much bigger on the inside than on the outside. Its cute in a quarky way. Base price may be an issue but I would buy a used one for one of my kids. Not sure I'd drive one myself. One of the other 86ers suggested they should give awaycone with every FRS as a daily driver. I agree.

It would make a good automobile soccer car.:bellyroll:

Exhaust 04-07-2012 01:50 PM

There is a cheap plug and play HID conversion kit coming for the FR-S... Like 100 bucks

Nice photos man :coolpics: here is my contribution:

First video: they brought out an LFA to sing a welcoming song for us before the big day at the Toyota headquarter tour and boy can that car sing!! I heard someone said "cargasm" , indeed, lol

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3iD...e_gdata_player

Second video: watch for the Greddy FRS 550hp donuts done by none other than Ken Gushi in the middle of the video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8odM...e_gdata_player

Sorry for the girly screams every now and then :)) It's that smoked tire fume I swear!

luxmn 04-08-2012 11:39 AM

Boarding my flight back to Austin TX, I didn't get to say goodbye to you all but it was really nice meeting everyone. :) .

Regarding the trip it is truly a first class treatment, not just the King size suite, free food free drinks VIP tent freebies ALL and I mean from valley parking to luggage fee on top of cash stipend, It's the way Scion staff talking to us until 9 at night pouring their hearts out about the car. *sniff*

luxmn 04-08-2012 11:42 AM

And I want to add that Argento (silver) color in person is flat and not as good looking as photo on website. White on the other hand is a heartbreaker they gave us all one last chance to jump ship on the preorder color and transmission, I stayed with Manual but switch to whiteout which is pearl white. just FYI for whoever is still on the fence regarding color.
