E85 Tune best anyone have one prior to going forced induction
My plan eventually is to go Turbo.
In the mean time while I save, I know if you run E85 we can run more boost and overall its safter especially with our compression ratio. I know crawford makes an E85 Tune that you can can run E85 and or 93 and the computer with the tune automatically reconizes the difference which fuel isused etc so you do not have to worry about re programming your tune once you flash it in. I have a gas station about 3-5 minutes from my house and they have E85 on Tap for 2.20 a gallon. 93 octane is 3.79 so not only when I do go forced induction will I already have the tune I am saving a significant amount of money for the cost in fuel of the bat. The only one I have heard of thus far has been crawford performance E85/93 plus the claim of increased throttle response hp and tq. Can anyone from personal experience recommend this type of tune or who are the top companys out there to go with as far asthese tune are concerned? Thanks Dan |
Fa20club.com best bang for buck on tunes . I promise u will love it :)

i have visconti flexfire, works pretty good. 30hp bump over 93 on just an e60 mixture on the ethanol content analyzer display.

Please post in the engine tuning section, there is a ton of information there.

Here is mine stock versus my E85 tune:

No I just googled the tunes and Crawford Performance came up. No I have not heard what they did to there shop car. I know the tune was expensive though
Anyways E85 the savings in gas alone 1.00 per gallon plus the performance that goes along with it sounds like no brainer I am going to check out the FA20 Club E 85 Tunes Thanks for the information guys Thanks Dan |

Fa20club all the way! My flex fuel kit is flawless

204 to the wheel with 2 cats running the P&L tune. Uncatted i'd hit the 208 range.

Perrin flex fuel e85 kit with 14psi vortech pulley in test at the moment, no, not coming out anytime soon, but he has got the hardware and connections spot on,per my build thread. I'm capping off boost at 10.5 psi

I change back to pump if I road trip out of town or state as well as every few tanks of e85 to flush the fuel system etc. Having the sensor based tune and the freedom to run whatever fuel mix is awesome. On a switchable map you really have to run your tank down until the car is about to stall to avoid an e20 or something blend on a pump tune! The downside is the amount of tuning and validation needed at different blends to ensure the tune is happy. I recommend finding as local a tuner as possible with a good history & reputation and take your car there loaded up with jerry cans of the local pump and e85 you will be running. |

2.20 a gallon in Ohio? Shit. It's 3.69 for E85 here, 4 bucks for normal gas. At 2.20 you're definitely saving money on gas. If you blend it to E40ish you can get a nice balance between performance and range, and I think that blend level tends to be good for fuel efficiency too.

My car runs through E85 like Joey Chestnut does Hot Dogs!! Really horrible MPG!
But wouldn't change it, the power is intoxicating! |
