Time for a floor liner switch

Long story short, I had a big splash of paint on my stock floor mats..was lazy to clean it off and the paint got mixed with mud (due to weather). Now I cant even clean off the dirt. Planning to switch floormats. Winter is coming and rain is no joke. Most people from other forums recommended these floor liners that is "weather proof" :D..I really dont like the looks, but it is highly rated and seems like it works well for all conditions. What do you guys think? Anybody have experience with these?

Here's the link for it http://amzn.to/18JJOcC

Sorry for the bad luck. I don't have any experience personally but I have read many good things about Weathertech. Perhaps if you compare the two it might help you decide.

ZionsWrath 09-21-2013 02:16 PM

If never having to vacuum your carpets until you sell your car appeals to you, it is 100% worth the cost. I got me a set, haven't had regrets.

thill 09-21-2013 02:28 PM

I am a big fan of Weathertech mats. Pretty much have to have them where I live as carpeted mats will only make it through about one winter before they are trashed.

charged86 09-21-2013 03:04 PM

I personally would like to upgrade the floor carpet. as a previous detailer it is a cheap grade of carpet. Not the cheapest but close

stugray 09-21-2013 03:13 PM

I got a free pair from the owner of the car featured in the " http://www.ft86club.com/forums/image.../paperclip.gif http://www.ft86club.com/forums/image...subscribed.gif A casualty of the Boulder floods" thread along with the factory car cover and trunk tool kit.

I havent put them in yet, but in Colorado, it is a no-brainer

Exactly what I want haha. I only wash my car like once every 4-5 months

BradBot 09-21-2013 03:47 PM

I really like mine so far. Figment is very good and they're much lighter than I thought they would be.

Any that you recommend?

Djratrap 09-21-2013 03:50 PM

I've had a set for a while and they are great. Easy to clean (hose rinse) and are pretty durable. Definitely worth the money.

How well do they fit?

Squishy 09-21-2013 04:56 PM

These are laser fit to the floor curves.

Yes it fits very well.

Haven't found any yet lol. Accmats.com is a pretty big company nothing yet all it would take is for them to have a sample and a decent demand

Intake 09-22-2013 07:20 AM

Ive read a lot of reviews and it seems highly recommended, so i think im going to get these. Thanks everyone!

Yea man, if you are getting rubber all season mats there is really no other option that comes close as far as fit/finish, function, and quality. They are a few $ but you will never have to vacuum or buy new mats as long as you own the car.

Try searching around for the best price, I remember mine were just under $100 shipped but I can't seem to find where I ordered from...

I just put a set of these in, and I'd say the fit is 95%. Coverage and protection is second to none. The "grain" in the material closely matches the grain in the vinyl/plastic that is already in the car, and they almost look factory, except for the big WeatherTech sticker (there are companies that make "Scion" and/or "86" stickers to replace them...if that's your thing).

I say the fit is 95% because I'm a picky pr!ck. There are a few points of contact that will eventually cause some wear. The mats rub on the front side of the seat brackets on both sides (and will eventually rub the paint off), as well as the little piece of plastic trim that surrounds the fuel door release. I took care of this possibility by covering the effected areas with a strip of black electrical tape to prevent direct contact. Like I said, I'm picky. Most people wouldn't notice or even care. Overall they are a great product, and to fix this would require giving up some coverage, so in the end, I think WeatherTech made the best compromise.

Did you get the ones that I posted a link to? Or did another version fit 95%? Thanks for the detailed reply!

ericmpena 09-22-2013 11:32 AM

I have WeatherTech mats and they are 100% worth the investment. I use my car as a daily driver so the carpet was always dirty. I purchased them just in time because a few days after I put them in my car my buddy got in with the muddiest boots ever. He was like."oh sorry, I should've cleaned off my boots before getting in your new car." But it wasn't a problem because I was just able to rinse off the mud in a few minutes. Do yourself and your car a favor and purchase these.

u wot m8?

They are 99.9% perfect fit. They make contact with the entire "circumference" of the footwell. If you think that is a poor or less than 100% fitment than so be it, but for me and the most everyone else it is perfect.

Well its my first Subaru had a vw before this the build quality on the vw is a little more plush and solid. I guess because German. But I love my car no butt hurt. Bmw carpet is nice.

pjb86 09-22-2013 12:30 PM

WeatherTech all the way. I love mine.

Yes. The same ones. I didn't mean for my post to sound like a complaint...it wasn't. They're a great product, and I doubt there's anything better on the market. I was just pointing out a couple of (very) minor issues and what can be done to remedy them if it was of any concern to anyone reading.

Like I said above, I'm picky. Most people wouldn't notice, or even care if they did. I'm not disputing the coverage, just pointing out a couple of areas that could lead to some wear, and a suggestion on what to do if it bothers any other picky people like me. It was not meant to be a complaint...I have no regrets going with the WeatherTech mats.

worth for an investment. I'm kinda OCD, so this thing has been installed since day one. Easy to clean and protect the base carpet.

Weathertech. First thing I ordered for my BRZ the day I brought it home. Should be here by Thursday. I've had 10 sets of them and won't use anything else.

I had them in my vettes and they are good quality.. I don't know about the badge.. My guess is it might not be an option.. But they appear to have the size.. Going to order some before the year is out..

WeatherTech Digitalfit mats, haven't seen anything that rivals these.

The only thing I wished these WeatherTech had was a bit higher coverage behind the gas pedal, they used to a long time ago but with issues of the floor mat getting the gas pedal stuck they don't go up as high anymore.

Still miles better than any stock floor mat, especially when it comes to protecting the carpet from dirt and more so, road salt.

WeatherTech's cargo mat's is another recommendation.

Isn't it a good thing that it doesn't go as high? I never had problems with any floor mats getting stuck but I would imagine that I would want the floor mat to be lower.

Intake 09-24-2013 10:33 PM

My liners came! They're perfect fit. Will try to get pictures and a short review for you guys in a few days. Looking really nice so far. Loving it more than I expected.

Passenger side only?

Anyone have just the passenger side Weathertech floor mat for sale? I'm careful, but my GF always brings in dirt and leaves. :mad0259:

Kwisak 09-25-2013 08:44 PM
