If you haven't seen it, great new series of iQ web ads just went up called "Donuts". Even better than the iQ parking series IMHO:

With a car name like "iQ" I would think the advertisements would be a little more intelligent.

Are we going back to 1980s when most people liked gross and ugly things?

No really when you consider they are the ones selling and marketing the 86 in North America instead of "Toyota" and their Motorsport heritage.

So Jack Hollis thought this commercial would sell cars?

Don't know if JH "personally approved this message", but it does follow the their of advertising for this specific car for what it is, quarky.

Honestly, I found it interesting enough that if I were in the market for that size car, I would now look at it. I think it did a decent job of showing some of the performance of the car, and the interior room while "making you look".

Then again, I've always liked any company that was willing to take a light-hearted look at their own products and not take themselves too seriously. YMMV

Now, if I see one these at work, I going to buy some milk and donuts and do donuts in the parking lot lol.

suprachica79 04-05-2012 08:58 PM

I was listening to ESPN radio today and the host talked about this commercial. He said, "I don't have a clue what car company it was, but I'll find out when I go to watch this commercial again." haha I just started cracking up

SVTSHC 04-05-2012 09:15 PM
