Holy ouch for our Northern friends.

I guess the only BRZs up there will be USDM spec/US Purchased huh?

Lytheum 04-02-2012 10:24 AM

wasnt the scion only 1k CAD more then the us one? if so thats just crazy! no one up there will buy the brz if its 8-10k more then the fr-s.

hopefully once pricing is announced dealers will get more information as to when their allocations will be showing up!

GMU-BRZ 04-02-2012 10:25 AM

Thanks Matt!

Yeah I'm waiting for the est delivery date here. There's a track day at Sebring that we are testing the race car at and I'd love to track the BRZ then too.. but the date is May 6th.. waiting to sign up with the BRZ until I know it'll be here :( I can easily put 1,000 miles on it before hitting the track as long as I get it by the 4th, or 5th with some help from red bull :)

I probably should have picked up on the 2013 part, but skipped over that and just assumed it said 2012. Also didn't release CIAS already happened this year. It's more obvious with those facts :)

im #5 in line at my dealer. they should be getting 10 cars. im hoping they get 2 cars a month and i get one around july. 1 car a month pushes me back to september. ill go crazy by then! especially reading forums when others are getting theirs and posting up stuff about it.

That sucks :( I'm #1 on my dealers list :) They are getting the most in Florida so hopefully the first three will arrive in May :)

Dude, you are going to get yours this month. I feel it...Congrats!

Lighting Red 04-02-2012 11:36 AM

Thanks, Matt! Funny timing regarding the pricing since I was just over at your shop yesterday.

Shavenyak 04-02-2012 12:04 PM

I'd prefer a BRZ, but if Subaru prices this thing poorly, I'll take my happy ass to the scion dealership without a second thought.

I'm in the exact same boat you're in but I've already gone crazy

Turbowned 04-02-2012 12:23 PM

Gives me just enough time to factory order another Audi if this thing proves to be too pricey. I can lease an A3 TDI for one year through my company that should cost me ~$2200 between monthly payments and fuel for the year vs. ~$5,300 for the BRZ or ~$5,800/yr with the S4 I'm currently in. With the money I save, I can put a better down payment on one next year!

Agreed.

I had a dream I got mine and guess what? I didn't get to drive it OR find out the pricing!

That would be awesome, plenty of time to sign up, order brake pads and break it in mostly gently before Sebring if that happens.

Sadly, considering Subaru's lack of solid updates I'm not counting on it though.

Prepared for the BRZ pricing threads. :iono: Will they be filled with praises or complaints? Glad I got FR-S pricing withdrawal outta my system.

I think people will be upset. I'm guessing at least 26K for the Premium and 28K for the Limited. I wouldn't be too shocked at 27.5K and 30K, but I would re-evaluate my decision to get one.

There is no way HIDs and Nav are worth $3,300 dollars over a FR-S. Subaru would sell very very few cars.

They aren't that stupid.

Guess it's never to late for some last minute price speculation

I as well hope Subaru is not that stupid. I'm not looking for a steal, I just want a reasonable price...$28.5ish is reasonable OTD price.
