Debating... Enkai Raijin or BBS RE forged

$225 each vs. 825 each...

Is it really worth it to upgrade to the forged BBS?

If you have the money, go for the BBS.

ModBargains.com 09-12-2013 02:21 PM

I think the BBS does look better, but $800+ per wheel is a lot if you ask me. I'd go with the Enkei purely based on cost if it was me. They still look good on an FRS:

I'm loving my Raijins.

At $800 a wheel I'd be devastated if I curbed them or dented them.

Are you running 18x8 all around, or are you staggered? Tires?

PRORICAN 09-12-2013 03:25 PM

If money isn't an issue go with BBS if it is then Enkei. Pretty simple I think...

frslee 09-12-2013 03:37 PM

$800 a wheel... yikes... Better put some protective shield around it.

Even if I had money to blow, I wouldn't spend $3300 for BBS. It's personal preference as many will say. If you don't care, why not... BBS is nice wheel.
In my opinion, Enkei Raijin is decent for the price. Why not spend around ~400 per wheel and you could get something better than Enkei, but less OCD to take care of those BBS?

I wanted titanium BBS CH-Rs, but they were too heavy for the price. I ended up getting gunmetal Raijins with the flat caps and have been very happy.

mike the snake 09-12-2013 04:56 PM

Staggered. 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear, with 245/265 PSS tires, lowered 1.5" on ST coilovers.

That silver on the blue turned out really nice.

BBS all the way! :)

CSG David 11-10-2013 09:40 PM

Enkei and BBS are both reputable companies. BBS if you have the money, Enkei if you want the look.

This track will bend wheels all day long if you dip a wheel off track, but this BBS hasn't. Every Enkei has bent on that track except for the NT03. @CSG Mike

I see what you did there...

jkonquer 11-11-2013 03:56 AM

I believe RE only come in certain sizes. sti version was 18x8 50+ and some of the newesr models are 19"

dsgerbc 11-11-2013 02:03 PM

Used BBS REs can be bought for anywhere under $1000-1500, depending in the condition of the finish.
