It's hardly a BRZ. It's like someone thinking a NASCAR has anything to do with the production car they say it is.

Still its fun to see them out there racing even though it has little in common with the car that will soon be mine.

So my Camry doesn't have a stock car V8?!?!?

Whatever, it's still cool to see a car out there racing that resembles your own, even if it shares very little with the production version. It shows that the brand has a passion for motorsports and gives its enthusiasts something to aspire to, even if it is quite far-fetched.

It actually has an EJ20 engine. So it's probably just a tuned world rally car engine. Still neat to see the chassis in racing form.

there is nothing to aspire to in these big budget races. The cars are not cars but racing machines, the money involved is beyond those of that a single person could provide.

i thought the stock torsen one was pretty stong, its the same pumpkin out of the supra... or pretty much..

These cars are designed and built from the ground up as race cars rather than being born as production cars and then being modified. So there is never a case of "The stock part is good enough, so let's just leave it on the car". I would be shocked to find out that the BRZ GT300 shared any parts in common with the production car.

If anything, I would expect to find that it's running something along the lines of a rear mounted Hewland transaxle.

Hm... Round 2 GT300 BRZ didn't do so well. They took a 9th place

BTW - since the production Prius tends to have very good Cd, I wonder how much advantage it would be to use its shell - probably all nullified by the monster wing back there....

I predict a 'W' for the GT300 BRZ. That thing is sick! The only thing holding it back is that it's missing that last little bit. I think we all know what that is... Lightning Red paint.

I'm sure there will be growing pains for them this season. At least they finished this one! P9 doesn't seem so bad compared to a dnf.

I always preferred the look of the scowling Frs bumper over the smiling Brz one, but damn. That thing looks more evil than an frs. lol. Almost a maniacal evil smile. haha.
