Toms or Buddy club Taillights? (BRZ)
 

Which would you go with?

Until this morning, I was thinking about getting Toms for when I get my BRZ in a few months. Now I am gravitating towards the Buddy Club...lol. :bonk:

Only gripe with Buddy club for me is that...they look as if a "wanna-b aventador" but that is not why I like them... I really like the indicators on them.

If you feel like you must change them out, then Tom's all the way. Not feeling the Buddy Club at all. I personally like the OEM lights though, so we may have different taste.

Toms. i think the buddy club tails are ugly, but that's just me. they suit the shape of the lambo tails, but don't look as good with our tail light shape.

I've owned just about every tail light available for FR-S/BRZ

There a things I love and hate about them all so far and have yet to find the perfect tail light. Crystal Eye would have to be my favorite so far as the outer lens seems to be the most resilient of them all

Buddy Club is next!

Personally I like Spyder or Valenti's better.

I'll be getting Spyder's for my BRZ.

I absolutely love my Valentis (especially with the matching light bar), and they have ton of color options.

My only complaint with aftermarket lights is almost none of them are using SMD LEDs, which are far superior. Mine are still more than bright enough, though.

toms for sure. the buddy club is too aggressive for me, i definetly agree that they remind me of the aventador tho.
toms look amazing, especially on blue. my car is silver and didn't think i'd like the way the toms would look on it, that's the only thing that held me back

Spyder or Valentis look better and more OEM than TOMS.

I love the Toms on my silver BRZ.

I don't know why you guys don't like the Buddy Clubs. Oh well, it'll just make my car that much more unique if no one else gets them. :p

"Better" is subjective. Sure I wouldn't put that thing on my car like this person did, but I don't see what's so "wrong" about the Buddy Clubs. I really do like the Tom's and they were my first choice until the Buddy Clubs came along. I think Tom's go better on the BRZ though more than the FR-S because of the boomerang headlights.

I really like my Tom's and my smoked Crystal Eye's, I think I'm going to love the Buddy Clubs :thumbsup:

Buddy tails are so rice. They can't even compare to other tails.

1) It shall be a BRZ not a FRS.

2) It is Lamborghini who wishes it came about with the BuddyClub concept of turn signals....not the other way around. That is the only reason I want them. I couldn't give 2 shits which tail-lights they looks similar to otherwise!

So you can stick to re/de-badging the scion into a toyota or w/e whereas I will keep my subaru a subaru.:thumbup:

Honestly, it seems like any cosmetic mod these days gets dignified as "rice". I think the term is so overused that it has lost its meaning.

Well the thread poll shows the results.. What ever you think they are, I think they are poser crap, ugly and not aesthetically pleasing at all.. You have your mind set on them.. Go for it.. FRS. BRZ.. Same car..

Buddy clubs definitely. But this thread is dumb cause you're gonna get all the people that have toms, to say toms. The toms are awesome but they're played out. Buddy's will be nice till everyone gets them. Like me ;)

Very true, I mean how many of the people in the poll that voted for or against Tom's already own them and aren't prepared to swap out their tails yet again. I'm willing to bet that most of guys that voted for Buddy Club are first time buyers ;)

It's owners of BRZ's with that mentality that give them a bad rep. Might want to update your profile as well since it says your prospecting a FR-S...you know since going to be in a Subaru in all.

In terms of the taillights Tom's, but then again the market is flooded right now with companies/shops coming with parts constantly...

Not to jump on a band wagon here, but the Crystal Eye's are number one, but between those two, you cannot go wrong, that said i like the Buddy clubs better

hmmmm, something about the TOMs still pulls me that way. I like things simple though :)

the buddy club looks amazing when theres other accents to compliment it. if it's going on a mostly stock looking car i think it'd draw too much attention to one spot to have a positive affect. i don't think it has anything to do with the actual look of the light itself imo

Toms de-ricifies the stock altezza style imo. Because it doesnt stand out is a plus.

It's sad I had to spend $490 to get taillights that look more "OEM" than the OEM ones. (yes, many of you paid less for your TOM'S, don't rub it in!)

I think the crystal eyes are by far the best looking.. I voted toms because between these two, IF I had to go with one, it would be toms.. But I don't like the look of them either.. Way better then buddy club, but valenti and crystal eyes are, in my eyes, way better looking

I have equal love for all ft86s and as the title would suggest...I appreciate both these tail lights.

Ah i see... my mistake. Thought you were acting like one of the many BRZ owners who give the rest a bad rep because they feel some sense of entitlement since they are driving a Subaru instead of a "inferior" Scion. Like the higher price tag immediately makes it better. Again my mistake :clap:...
