Anyone have both the PS4 AND the One preordered?
I have a question for you.
When it comes to BF4 and COD, what are you doing? I have both pre ordered for the One, but the chance to play it one week earlier is kinda killing me. Should I switch the pre orders over to the PS4? |
Me. Generally, gaming experience is better on the Xbox for FPS... for me.

What I would do in your case is wait until Gamestop or Best Buy or somewhere has the demo units in-store. Shouldn't be too long from now, I'd imagine. Then you want to go hold both controllers and see which one you'll find more suitable.
And then once you realize that controllers suck for FPS you go back to the PC master gaming race. :D |
I ordered them for the PC... Pretty simple.

Three posts into another console thread, and already the "PCs are better" comments. Classic.
I've had the Xbox One pre ordered since June. The PS4 doesn't really excite me; nothing new, same controller I don't like, racing and shooting games don't play as well, etc. A week shouldn't make a difference. If you have the money, get both. If not, flip a coin; they're basically the same machine with a slightly different controller. |
I had a 360 and PS3, and may end up doing the same thing.
With the current generations it was because of exclusives and because GT5 was taking soooooo long. I really wanted Mass Effect and decided to give Forza a shot. In the end I ended up selling it cheap to my buddy because ME2 and 3 came on PS3, plus I hated Forza/Xbox controller combo. Ended up buying the wheel which also sucks donkey balls. So if anything really mindblowing (I really like Mass Effect, series ending notwithstanding and the console cost was worth being introduced to it. Crazy, right?) ends up as an Xbox One exclusive, maybe once prices come down. The spying/connectivity they tried bugs me still, and they've been the first Evil Empire to me, so that will still play a factor. But probably affect how much I'm willing to pay rather than if, provided I think the exclusive is as awesome as ME. |

Original advice still stands. |

I remember when Bioshock and Mass Effect were both exclusive... |

So I'm pretty sure in a year we'll see Titanfall or its sequel on the PS4, and Deep Down will eventually be on the XB1 as well. |
I just wish MS had someone like Naughty Dog. Gears was pretty good fun, but I was never a Halo fan. My personal reasons for MS over Sony was quality and stability of online network and beautiful ergonomics of the controller. I felt most multi platform games looked better and ran smoother on 360, but PS3 had a lot of great exclusive title. In the end, I did get both. To this day, my PS3 is my primary bluray player and I occasionally use it to play an exclusive title with an aftermarket controller modeled after the 360. :)

You can place the PS4 pre-order? I tried the other day at Gamestop and was told I couldn't yet.

Honestly the part that burns me the most about a console launch is all of the people that go buy a bunch of them and resell them on eBay. Yeah, I know it's their time and money, whatever. It's still a **** move to the people that legitimately want one and aren't able to pay twice as much. |

MS might be the first, but maybe not the evilest. |

My advice, check the Sony website right before / during launch. Preorders fall through due to cards failing to authorize. |
playing FPS games on a console...
stupidest shit ever like having sex without taking your pants off |

BF4 is better than COD. Not even close. |

I plan on milking the 360 until the games run dry then getting an Xone when the first incentive package/price drop hits shelves. I see no need to rush when both Forza 5 and BF4 are both on the 360 too (I think).

you didn't answer the question...
anyway sensitivity has to be set low for proper control, i have mine set so that i need to move my mouse around 4 inches diagonal to reach corner to corner. and turn mouse acceleration/filtering off. setting it high without developing proper motor control will have you missing everything and being useless. there is no such thing as "gaming mice and keyboards", it's all fluff, some just have better ergonomics and buttons for more keys, but an 800 dpi mouse on a cable is more than enough for any game. |
To answer the question, I have no idea how far I have to move my mouse to get it across the screen.
I'll keep that in mind next time I try and play though, thanks for the info. I just can't justify spending money on an upgraded PC...o well |
