Toyota press conference is still yet to come (in just about 3 hours). I'll report back afterwards and let everyone know if they provide any new updates.

They've got the same original GT5 video that we've seen playing as part of the looping video presentation in Toyota's exhibit. Would be nice if they did present something new to go along with the discussion of the FT-86 though.

Each press conference is only 10-15 minutes and Toyota has a ton of cars here so I don't actually expect that much time to be spent on the FT-86. No matter, they can tell us the exact date or production in about 2 seconds :D

In for more info! Keep it coming!

Never know, they might be like "Production will be 20@#$%^&* (with small voice)...... Next, we have this new..." :bellyroll:

Anyways, I hope tire spec will change for the final production

I'm going to check Mitsuwa here in San Diego to see if they have it on their shelves.

Matador 03-03-2010 09:41 PM

^^WTF?!??! .....

Car sure has a lot to live up to. Don't see how it will not disappoint a fair number of people.

Axel 03-03-2010 09:50 PM

http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...es/naughty.gif At it's price point, looks, and fun quotient... it will please one helluva lot more ppl than it will disappoint... and those disappointed at the car off the showroom floor can probably change it into most anything they want it to be.

Doty0588 03-04-2010 12:54 AM

My guess is most of the ppl it will be disappointing will be the same one's throwing their 2JZ's in there and bragging bout how many ponies its got under its hood.

My point exactly.

But you have to admit, for all the hype, it has got a LOT to live up to.

Agreed. I'm guessing it's gonna have a lot of competition, too.. isn't just about everyone thinking about putting out a competitor to this thing?

That's all fine... competition breeds excellence. This thing will be better if it has competition.
