NO it includes nothing but MSRP.
For OTD, add (in Ontario): $1,495 Freight + $100 A/C tax + $15 tire tax + 13% HST giving $31,188 (assuming HST is collected on all other costs).

Xdragonxb0i 03-30-2012 11:26 PM

wait proof?
the Candadian pricing is only 1k over the US?

thats good for you guys

actually the price was live at like 7pm i think.. o_o

YinYang1980 03-30-2012 11:26 PM

well, if this price include the freight than it bring the car price to

29882.00$ with taxes

25990.00$ pdsf
1299.50$ 5% HST (fed taxe)
2592.50$ 9.5% TVQ (provincial taxe)

WOW!!! but i dont think this price include the freight.

Edit: oh yeah, AC Taxe, tire taxe...and other taxe i may forget. dammit

GT 03-30-2012 11:27 PM

If this is true than that is pretty awesome :D

Ikaros 03-30-2012 11:27 PM

o.0 That's a little bit more than expected, but this price is actually pretty reasonable. Why is freight so expensive >_>

how do you know the freight charge?

Enemies 03-30-2012 11:28 PM

Proof please!

Eureka 03-30-2012 11:28 PM

Lower than I initially thought. Then again, the FRS has virtually no luxuries or options compared to the BRZ. If BRZ premium starts at 27k and limited at 30k, that would make me one happy toyobaru fan :)

Difference from US model:

- Pics indicate that while no red accents on seats we will be getting the red stitching elsewhere
- heated mirrors
- NO free maintenance/roadside assistance for the first 2 years (US only)

Standard freight charged on all Canadian Scions.

Ikaros 03-30-2012 11:33 PM

Oh do any of you guys remember how much the auto option was for the US model? From what I remember it was more expensive than the standard 1k like other cars.

Ikaros 03-30-2012 11:33 PM

We both posted it at 8:30 >_>

i think it was like 26.03k?

zootramp 03-30-2012 11:41 PM

Assuming a direct 7.4% markup of the US auto price of $25,300 the Canadian auto will be MSRP $27,171.36 and $32,585.09 OTD with all freight and taxes

Ikaros 03-30-2012 11:42 PM

Yeah I think it was something like that. I wonder why freight is the same for all Scion dealerships in Canada. B.C is right next to the Pacific ocean, shouldn't the freight and delivery be less than Provinces in the East?

YinYang1980 03-30-2012 11:49 PM

they dont calculate it like that, they just calculate how much it will cost to ship the cars everywhere in the same country and make a middle (im not sure im using the right word, but in french is "moyenne") so they charge the exact same amount for each cars for the same country.

Sport-Tech 03-30-2012 11:50 PM

So for comparison's sake: $25,990 versus:

Base MX-5 (5-sp): $28,995
Mazda 3 GT: $23,695
Mazdaspeed 3: $29,795
2013 GC 2.0t R-spec:$28,799
Civic SI: $29,990
Golf GTI: $29,375
2013 Base Mustang V6: $23,999: Premium $26,999; Sport pack $30,200
WRX $32,495

I'd say that comparatively, the price point is pretty well-positioned. Same as an SI - nice!!

YinYang1980 03-30-2012 11:53 PM

wow! i just realise that 25 990$ is the EXACT same price than the Honda Civic Coupe SI. i know one is RWD and the other one is FWD.

but if you pay the honda civic si cash the pdsf is $24,490.

And there will be no cash on the hood or dealer negotiation on the FR-S for many months.

Sport-Tech 03-31-2012 12:14 AM

That price is MSRP, no freight. OTD is $31,188 on manual in Ontario - see
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...29&postcount=8
for calculations.

Enemies 03-31-2012 12:19 AM

Man, if it's only $25,990 in Canada and the BRZ is marked up quite high I might have to pull my deposit and go for an FR-S. If the BRZ is reasonable I'll still stick with that though for the creature comforts. :P

Sato Tatsuya 03-31-2012 12:29 AM

The price after Freight and all other charges are REALLY expensive...=\...not affordable at all =\...*SIGH*!!

i hope theres a cash discout for the FRS :D

Saibot 03-31-2012 12:33 AM

i like how a separate thread was made to link to my thread lol.

FR 03-31-2012 12:33 AM

Wow ... Actually RIGHT where I wanted it to be !!! fantastic news !

86fanatic 03-31-2012 12:59 AM

OTD in California is going to be 28-29 for the Scion, so its like a 2-3 grand difference if we are comparing OTD to OTD. That is very good in general for Canada.

Actually I disagree - my 140 hp FWD 1998 Tib with sports package was $18k after a 1k end of model year discount and some hard negotiating that knocked off another 1k. After accounting for Canadian inflation that is $23,970 in 2012 dollars. So for 2k more I'll be getting a true sports car with 60 more hp, RWD, and a far more sophisticated suspension. Good deal.
