Valenti Tail Lights (CR) on Firestorm
 

I've recently installed the Valenti CR tail lights for my firestorm FRS (or known as the 'Lightning Red' Toyota 86 here) and I think it looks great. I had a issue with wrong wiring (mine is JDM, but the lights are USDM) after the initial install and had to re-wire the connectors to get it right. I noticed that there aren't many photos of the red car with these lights, so I've decided to post some. More coming up once I get some good light :)

Very true, not many pics of the firestorm/lightning red with aftermarket tails or reverse lights. I see tons of Whiteout and Raven pics, but those don't help me when it comes to choosing for my car.

Here's another one of the back shots. Not the most flattering lighting or angle - but it does show how the colors work together. These look really special imo.

Looks good on red and works surprisingly well with the stock lower lights!

The lights do fit the red paint rather well due to the red chrome surround imo. The LED lights are bright and lovely BUT do note that some of the LEDs on mine (left orange indicator) have died recently - I have contacted my vendor to request for a replacement. It's not a big issue just an annoyance. Apparently, Valenti admitted that there were a few batches of these left lamps that had wiring defects. Let's see how that goes.

Dude, that car is my dream FR-S! Love the exhaust, love the lip, LOVE the tails!

The only thing that scares me right now are the few people who have had to return them due to some of the LEDs needing to be replaced. Other than that, these are my favorite tail light design so far.

Thanks, yospeed. I really like them too but unfortunately I am one of them who experienced the dead left indicator LEDs. Most people are happy with theirs, guess I'm just the unlucky one. They still work fine though otherwise and haven't gotten any cop's attention, but it does irk me knowing some LEDs are dead. Am in contact with my vendor to get a replacement. Cheers.

Sorry but these lights are ugly. Only aftermarket lights that even look good are Tom's. The best thing IMO are to either red out the OEM lights or get the Tom's tail lights.

Yes, these are the TRD (JDM) Full body kit : Front, Side, Rear and Lip Spoiler.

To each his own. I initially wanted to order the Tom's myself and realized that it was looking a bit like the MK6 Golf GTI. Then I saw some night videos/photos of the Valenti light bar and I was sold. I think they both look great and ultimately it's down to each person's preference.

No, not at all. Very funky and interesting choice of emblem color! Smoked Valentis look great on the red too. May I know which exhaust is that?

I'm not sure who stocks them in the states, as I'm from Malaysia actually and I had a vendor order these in for me. Just visit the TRD Japan site and the prices in YEN are available there. I paid pretty much the same amount as listed. Hope that helps.

Colored the emblems using PlastiDip...wanted the emblems to look unique. The exhaust are just exhaust tips connected to the stock exhaust since my quad tips haven't arrived yet.

Wow those Valenti look good on the Red. I've been looking at them for my Lighting Red BRZ and now that I've seen them on yours I'm sold on these!

I'm writing to update on the tail lamps. Just two weeks after installing them, about 5 LEDs on my left lamp died (left indicator signal) and I managed to receive a free replacement from my vendor. Too bad the new one had one dead bulb along the light bar, which actually didn't irk me too much. Unfortunately, just a few days ago a friend of mine told me that my brake lights (right side) were defective. True enough, I did a quick inspection and 3 brake LEDs on my right lamp is dead.

As much as I love the look of the Valentis, I am just not confident in their reliability especially in the long term. I will be returning them to the vendor for a refund and already have the Tom's tail lights on order. Will be installing them today, hopefully. Sorry to see the Valenti's go, but they really need to up their QC asap. This rate of defects (at least on my side) is simply not acceptable.
