Sorry to hear about what happened! Your picture doesn't work by the way

userjack6880 08-31-2013 12:12 AM

That'll buff right out.

Sad to see another fallen angel.

cfusionpm 08-31-2013 12:22 AM

My girlfriend took it from both ends in a traffic jam a few months ago. :slap: Was stopped, hit from behind and shoved into the car in front. Frame was bent and got a nice check for her total'd car. Ended up replacing it with a nice loaded Camry. I am terrified every time I'm stuck in traffic now. :(

My deepest sympathies.

Hopefully the shop that gets a hold of the car will actually do a good job restoring her. Buddy had a Mugen that got rear-ended by a Titan and it wasn't totaled either. Looked and felt almost normal.

G'luck. I get antsy when somebody pulls up real close to my rear, but I might not be used to having such a short trunk.

KritiK 08-31-2013 03:16 AM

wow sorry, well you are ok. btw what happens to this car, i got hitted by a woman that was reversing without looking at her rear view mirror but only paint work, and i got angry, so... if that happens to me, probably i will kill somebody lol.

Gen 08-31-2013 03:22 AM

Homie needs a longer tie.

Calidrifter 08-31-2013 03:24 AM

There is no curse, only idiot drivers.

TRD_86 08-31-2013 03:40 AM

it must be the new phone era :)

kmbkk 08-31-2013 07:09 AM

I feel your pain (no pun intended). My wife was waiting to turn into our neighborhood and got hit from behind by a truck. The final bill was almost $20K and the insurance company wouldn't total it (2010 Ford Flex Ltd)!

gzpermadi 08-31-2013 07:10 AM

Not sure if it was the picture but the rear wheel angle looked funny.
Hopefully it would get totaled so you can get a new one.

Enraged21 08-31-2013 07:30 AM

sorry to see that man. but were your wheels painted or dipped?

BANGER 08-31-2013 07:48 AM

Dang. Looks like your exhaust took quite the curve.

Mikem53 08-31-2013 09:01 AM

Ouch... Sorry to see this... Hope you get it worked out.. What a hassle!

Nevermore 08-31-2013 09:34 AM

This really sucks to see. Sorry you got hit like that. I'm suspicious when I'm stopping. I always glance at the rear view mirror while leaving a decent gap in front of me, then I just inch up on the guy in front of me if the guy behind doesn't appear to be slowing down. It's a habit I've developed randomly.

charged86 08-31-2013 09:40 AM

sorry bud I really am glad you are ok. If its repairable I hope they do a great Job

Deploy rear airbags.

Seriously if you believe in a "curse" as well as demons, gremlins, tarot cards, lady luck and assorted other spurious entities, than your proper course is to find anti-curse protection. You must consult a Voodoo Priestess, a Shaman, a practitioner of Kabbalah, wear temple garments, purchase an anti-evil eye amulet or employ some other actions appropriate to the spirit world. It is pure folly to employ practical real-world measures to fight a "curse". You must surround your car with invisible rays of cosmic protection.

I know somebody that's made some pretty powerful infrared lasers. Hows that for invisible rays of cosmic protection.

I'm not afraid of those things. I just have that habit. I don't trust people not to rear end me. It doesn't have anything to do with a curse.

Invisible yes. Cosmic no - it is a matter of frequency.

This could be dangerous as the rear impact will push your car to hit the car in front.
A friend of mine got hit from behind by a large SUV and he didn't leave good distance to the car in front of him, resulting the SUV paid for his rear damage and he had to pay for the front car damage.

Leaving safe distance is the best thing to do.
I still trying to find safest way to come out from this situation. If you were the first at traffic light you might be able to swerve around but if you were in a dead stop queue not much you can do. Maybe bump your horn hoping the driver to notice.

Yeah, leaving distance is exactly what I do. I leave a sizable gap between me and the car in front of me and only close it when I need it, or when I know the car behind me has stopped. I don't close that gap before hand. It saved me once because I looked up and noticed the guy behind me looking completely to his left, so I left that gap and just kept inching up, heard screeching tires as the guy behind me slammed his brakes, but he just barely missed running into me. If I had stopped any shorter he would've hit me.

fistpoint 09-02-2013 05:36 AM

I'm thinking the car is so low that when people driving the giant idiot-mobiles are behind you in traffic, they are basically focused on the vehicles in front of you because of how easily they can see over.

Sort of like how motorcycles are often overlooked.

I feel your pain bro, I hope your okay. I got rear ended on the 16th and it was not good the car is still in the shop

solidONE 09-03-2013 11:40 AM

Dang I got rear ended late June as well. The other day, maybe 2 week ago, I saw a smashed asphalt fr-s right after the off ramp by where I live.

Steve201brz 09-03-2013 11:47 AM

speechless. i have the worst road rage, this angers me just looking at it. i get that accidents happen, but theres really no excuse for rear ending in traffic. they really need to start penalizing, heavily, for careless driving. if you don't give a shit about how you drive a 2 ton box of metal with wheels, you don't need to be driving

hope it turns out the best for you, and i like the wheels btw. wouldn't have even noticed they were the stock rims haha (they are the stock ones right?)
