Cess's Greddy turbo kit

Here are some pictures of my Greddy turbo kit and oil cooler.
I ordered the Kit at the end of May and the kit was installed in June. FA20club is E-tuning my car. I have the HKS L Hi-power exhaust with the MXP front pipe. I had the HKS BOV but switch to the Synapse BOV.

I really like the metal heat shielding on the turbo and the short intercooler pipes. Did it come with the ducting for the oil cooler? I really like that as well. I bet that thing spools very quick. What are you tuning it with? Any chance of getting a boost plot in third gear?

Diode Dynamics 08-29-2013 01:06 PM

Well done and good choice! Do you have any videos of it yet?

The duct is part of the oil cooler kit. I'm using the Ecutek. The turbo spools around 3k RPMs

I just have a start up video. I didn't make a driving video yet.

These Greddy kits are growing on me more and more. Simple IC design with the short piping seems excellent for spool time. Get some E85 on that thing

kanundrum 08-29-2013 01:36 PM

Dyno or it didn't happen! LOL. How you been man

Cessblood 08-29-2013 01:40 PM

All the stations that sell E85 are far away from me. I have to hop on the turnpike just to get some lol.

Sivtec 08-29-2013 01:40 PM

For the love of GOD get a dyno done!!! The Greddy kit just looks so polished.

I didn't dyno her yet. I'm great. How are you? I know you're loving your Ptuning kit. I saw the videos.

Good, the car will have it all 100% back on very soon. Can't wait. Greddy kit is looking good!

Hopefully I will get it dyno next month. I have to send my Datalog to FA20club.

TouchMyHonda 08-29-2013 01:49 PM

I would certainty find a local tuner who can dyno tune your car live.

jamesm 08-29-2013 01:52 PM

that MAF placement is going to be a nightmare to tune. they mounted it in the wrong diameter pipe and offset a bit. trust me, i'm learning all about the importance of maf placement, mine isn't nearly that far off and i'm still having to change it out.

Wow I like this kit, a lot less cramped than the Vortech. Really like that there is space for a oil cooler on the side too. Excited to see videos, and knowing more about this kit (Pros, Cons)

Thanks. I saw your car. It looks sick. Keep up the good work. I might get the their MWI.

The Cons: you have to tap into the oil pan, you have to trim the bream, The kit doesn't come with a BOV, and a Flange.

The pros: Short piping, Easy to install, Spool quickly, and feels great when I'm in third gear.

I just need to hit the Dyno.

I'm going to say "fortunetly" right now. I hope everything works out for the BRZ owner.

I will say, if you can at all do that, or even try to get the tuner to fly out there if that is easier than do it. We had Toni fly out from florida, granted it was a big group effort and I will say it was INCREDIBLY helpful to hear from him directly as well as have him be there to dyno. Again, not sure if he would do it for a single person but I do recommend you get it tuned in person.

That's cool but I don't he will fly here just to tune one or two cars.

I sold it…..

going turbo now.

Cessblood 08-29-2013 04:58 PM

What? Why the changed of heart? You want more power?

OjiGeorge 08-29-2013 06:07 PM

Looks great! I'm also really like the short intercooler piping, but trimming the bumper beam has me uncomfortable. Do you have any pics of the beam after trimming? How structurally intact do you feel it is?

Cessblood 08-29-2013 06:15 PM

Yeah I more pictures. I will post them up later. If you played tetris and you're good at it, You can trim the beam just right to slide the intercooler in.
