Poem from my drive home...

Opossum, opossum,
your brain made a blossom
when my fender tossed 'em
all over the road.

Furry friend, you are dead,
and the buzzards are fed,
but since my car is red,
none of your innards showed.

Anthony 08-17-2013 02:29 AM

That was beautiful. Brought a tear to my eye.

EAGLE5 08-23-2013 01:43 AM

Anybody wanna play guitar while I sing it?

Anthony 08-23-2013 01:50 AM

I've got mad kazoo skills, yo.

But that's all. :(

I used to tell people I play the membranophone. Nobody ever knew what I meant. Thus avoiding kazoo jokes.

That's a good strategy. I used to play the triangle, but I wasn't very good at it, so I quit.

The key is how you hold it. You need a holder that disallows spinning while allowing full resonance. Lots of people focus too much on the striking. Or on doing it at the correct time or interval. This is all secondary.

A properly held triangle sounds good anytime, and as often as you want. You can quote me on that.

Done.

Sorry, I'm just not Herman Li. And anyone less skillful than Herman Li will certainly besmirch your beautiful poem.

I could ask Jim Martin, who lives up he street. I killed the opossum not more than 1000 feet from his house.

Harumph.

Well that just works out perfectly. One could reasonably deduce that the opossum was his responsibility anyway, being so close to his house and all.
